SanQuentin was filmed in 1937 with Humphrey Bogart playing a tough talking Joe 'Red' Kennedy placed in prison under the watchful eyes of Captain Stephen Jameson played by Pat O'Brien. Red get caught up in the tough hoodlum act but his conscience is trying to do the right thing with help from Captain Stephen Jameson. But he get together with 'Sailor Boy' Hansen played by Joe Sawyer and it's all down hill from there with an escape, a car chase with gunfire that leads back to his sisters apartment.
