Tokarev SVT-38, sniper variant - 7.62x54mm R

Tokarev SVT-38 is a Soviet semi-auto battle rifle, a predecessor of much better known SVT-40. The SVT-38 was the penultimate version of a series of Tokarev designs (starting from лю1921; and can trace it linage back to the M1933, the first rifle of such design, through the previous experimental models). This was adopted to complement the AVS-36, in the role of a semi-auto only rifle. The SVT-38 was produced for less than a year, and was replaced by the improved SVT-40.
