These rifles were first seen in the series used by training soldiers in "Back to school, Mr.Bean" (S1E11) episode. In the thirteenth episode "Goodnight, Mr. Bean", titular character (Rowan Atkinson) finds guard watchman (Rupert Vansittart, a frequent Atkinson collaborator who also appear alongside him in The Thin Blue Line, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Johnny English Reborn, as well as other episode of this very series in different role) in the park, armed with a L85A1 - standard British army rifle.
