Magnum P.I. (2018 TV Series)

Magnum P.I. is the television series "reboot" of the classic CBS television series that starred Tom Selleck, and was broadcast in the US on CBS from 1980 to 1988. In the reboot, Jay Hernandez takes over the role of Thomas Magnum, a former US Navy SEAL and Naval Intelligence officer who now solves cases as a private investigator on the islands of Hawai'i. The series was executive produced by Peter Lenkov, who also helped launch the reboots of Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver and this "reboot" (naturally) exists in the same universe as Five-0 . In the US, Magnum P.I. premiered on CBS in September of 2018 and ran for four seasons on the network until its cancellation.
Despite the series being canceled at CBS, Magnum was revived for a two season run by NBC, with Season 5 premiering in the US in February of 2023, as a joint production between CBS and NBC and will air its final 10 episodes. However, it was later announced that NBC will conclude the show by the fifth season. Magnum aired its final episode on January 3, 2024.
