The film's cast includes Chris Pratt, Vincent D'Onofrio, Byung-hun Lee, Peter Sarsgaard Haley Bennett, and Ethan Hawke. The remake was directed by Antoine Fuqua, marking his third of five collaborations with Washington as well as reuniting the actor with his Training Day co-star Hawke. The film was released to theaters in September of 2016.
