The Island of Dr. Moreau is a 1977 screen adaptation of same name science fiction novel by Herbert George Wells. The film is directed by Don Taylor and starring Burt Lancaster, Michael York and Nigel Davenport. It is the second adaptation of the novel (the first being 1932's Island of Lost Souls (1932) and then the third being 1996's The Island of Dr. Moreau, which starred Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer).
