The Guyver (1991)

The Guyver is a 1991 live-action adaptation of the 1985 manga series Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. The film received praise for its special effects and costumes, but was negatively received overall. It was followed by a much better received sequel; Guyver: Dark Hero.

The following weapons were used in the movie The Guyver:

Taurus PT99

During his fight with the Zoanoids, Reed fires his Beretta 92F at a charging Zoanoid. As he fires, the camera focuses on his weapon, which changes to a Taurus PT99 with some sort of blank-fire device attached to the muzzle.

Reed fires his Beretta 92F-turned-Taurus PT99. Note the frame-mounted safety (though the grips on this particular gun seem to be blocking the decocker function), the two-handed triggerguard, and the raised front sight and adjustable rear sight. The muzzle flash iluminates the weapon enough to reveal a well-worn prop gun.

Smith & Wesson 59

Lisker (Michael Berryman), the leader of the Zoanoids, carries a Smith & Wesson 59 pistol.
