G.I. Joe: Retaliation is the 2013 sequel to 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film finds the GI Joe team on the run after being declared enemies of the state by the US government. The film was originally scheduled to be released in the summer of 2012, but was moved to 2013 in order to convert the film to 3D and reportedly to add more scenes. The sequel's cast includes returning cast members Ray Park and Channing Tatum in addition to Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson and Bruce Willis.
The following weapons were used in the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation:
General Joe Colton (Bruce Willis) uses a custom M1911 with ivory grips as his sidearm throughout the film. It is stated that the pistol belonged to General Patton and was a gift from his family. Colton gives it to Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson) at the end of the film.
Original Colt M1911 (dated 1913) - .45 ACP
The custom M1911 is seen in the case. Note the "GSP" grips. Also note the lack of finger clearance cuts by the trigger, showing that this is an original WWI era M1911 that has had custom parts added to it.
General Colton surprises the surviving Joes with his Colt upon entering his house, mistaking them for armed scouts selling cookies. This particular scene was altered for the trailer.
