The Expanse

The Expanse is a science fiction space opera mystery series set 200 years in the future after humanity has colonized most of the Solar System. Conflict now arises between the now independent Mars Congressional Republic and the United Nations-controlled Earth, in addition to the rebellious Outer Planets Alliance (OPA) located on the asteroid belt. The television show is based on the series of novels written by James S. A. Corey and the cast includes Thomas Jane and Wes Chatham. The series premiered in the US on the cable channel SyFy in November of 2015 and aired for three seasons until it was canceled in 2018. The series was subsequently picked up by the streaming service Amazon Prime and premiered a fourth season on December 12, 2019 and then a fifth season on December 15, 2020. A sixth and final season was streamed on Amazon Prime, beginning on December 10, 2021 until January 14, 2022.
