Sharps Model 1A Pepperbox
Jacqueline de Bellefort (Mia Farrow) carries a Sharps Model 1A Pepperbox in her purse, which she uses to "shoot" Simon Doyle (Simon MacCorkindale) in the leg. Simon himself handles the Sharps at one point also. Colonel Race (David Niven) tells Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) it is a .22 caliber "derringer". During Poirot's investigation, many other characters - including Dr. Ludwig Bessner (Jack Warden), Jim Ferguson (Jon Finch), Rosalie Otterbourne (Olivia Hussey), Miss Bowers (Maggie Smith), Louise Bourget (Jane Birkin), Marie Van Schuyler (Bette Davis), and Salome Otterbourne (Angela Lansbury) - are seen handling the pistol as he imagines the scenarios in which they committed the murder.

Jackie shows Poirot her pistol, "small but lethal" as she tells him.
Colonel Race inspects the newly re-discovered pistol.
Poirot places the Sharps Pepperbox on the display table when he plans to reveal the murderer.
A spent cartridge is ejected so that if the gun is found, only two bullets will appear to have been fired.
Jackie holds the pistol on Simon's head.
Colt New Service
Andrew Pennington (George Kennedy) keeps a Colt New Service in his cabin on the boat, which Jackie (Mia Farrow) finds and uses.
