Black Widow is a spy film that marked the first solo feature starring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, the former SHIELD agent who was part of the Russian "Black Widow" female assassin program. Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, the MCU feature follows Romanoff as she reunites with other Black Widow assassins to take down a new threat. The cast includes Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, and Florence Pugh and was originally scheduled for release in 2020, but after several delays, will be released in July of 2021 in both theaters and on the premium tier of the streaming service Disney+.
