Yakuza 0 (Japanese: 龍が如く0 誓いの場所| Ryū ga Gotoku Zero: Chikai no Basho Lit. Like a Dragon 0: The Place of Oath) is a Japanese video game released in March 2015 in Japan, January 2017 in English-speaking regions, and on Microsoft Windows in August 2018. It is a prequel to the Yakuza series, set in December 1988, in Kamurocho and Sotenbori, fictional versions of Tokyo's Kabukicho and Golden Gai, and Osaka's Dotonbori respectively. The game follows a 20-year-old Kazuma Kiryu and 24-year-old Goro Majima as they uncover the mystery of an empty lot in the middle of Kamurocho whose worth has attracted the attention of some of Japan's biggest criminal enterprises. Most of these gun models are recycled from previous games.

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

The following weapons appear in the video game Yakuza 0:

Handguns

1911-Derived Pistol

The weirdly shaped 1911 variant from Yakuza: Dead Souls returns, mostly as the sidearm of main antagonist Keiji Shibusawa. While its details are muddled, it mostly resembles a Para Ordnance LDA with a few skewed features.

Deciding that Kiryu's life hasn't been hard enough, Shibusawa uses his 1911 to shoot the taxi driver and begin the massive car chase.

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS appears as the primary sidearm of Masaru Sera, used heavily by him and given to Majima at the end of the story.

Makarov PM

The Makarov PM pistol appears as the "9mm Automatic Pistol" as well as the "Worn Out Pistol" and is used heavily by Yakuza members as well as Akira Nishikiyama. It is also used by property manager Yamanoi to threaten the Finance King, who then appropriates it to try and fight Kiryu.

Baikal-442 - 9x17mm Browning/9x18mm Makarov/9x19mm. It is a Canadian market import model of the Makarov. It features an long barrel, not seen on the military Makarov pistol.
Akira Nishikiyama uses the Makarov PM in an attempt to kill his Kyoudai and save him from Tojo clan torture.

Goro uses a thug's Makarov PM to put a 9x18 shaped hole in another thug.

To Kiryu, Gun Control means "Beating the crap out of people with guns."
"Fuck your gun, I have a table!"

SIG P226/USP

Returning again from Binary Domain is the same P226/USP hybrid pistol, both as the "Modified Air Gun" as well as the primary sidearm of Jin Oda and used by Kiryu in a car chase against the Shibusawa Family. Like in Kiwami, the in-game files list it as a CZ-75 but the overall design is a match for the hybrid gun.

SIG Pro

The SIG Pro is used by Hiroki Awano (Riki Takeuchi) as his sidearm, used both to threaten Kiryu in a closed disco and to actually fire on him when he escapes the Dojima Family ambush. This model comes from earlier games, but in this title is anachronistic because the SIG Pro was not introduced until 1999. The game model also features a ported front slide and wooden grips.

Later on, Awano opens fire on Kiryu as he escapes with Tachibana. This scene is seen in the intro movie.

Type 67 silenced pistol

The rare Type 67 silenced pistol is used by master assassin and secondary antagonist Lao Gui. The game files describes it as a Type 64, but it more closely resembles a Type 67, as the former features a large bulge underneath the barrel. The location of the safety and magazine release, as well as the shape of the trigger guard, appear to have been adopted from the Nambu type 94.

Revolvers

Colt 1860 Army

The Colt 1860 Army model makes a return from Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!. It appears as the "Antique Gun" and is purchasable from the weapons shop.

Nambu Model 60

The Nambu Model 60 appears as the "Double Action Revolver" and is the standard issue sidearm of the Japanese police officers. It is notably used by a corrupt cop who uses it to kill Bilikin and Nishitani.

The corrupt officer reveals his plans to Nishitani and Majima while threatening them with his Model 60. This later comes to bite said cop when the 5 shot capacity fails to stop Nishitani in time.

Shotguns

Baikal MP-133

The Baikal MP-133 makes up most of the shotguns in 0 like it does in Kiwami, commonly carried by Yakuza and random thugs and purchasable from the weapon shop. There is the normal wood stocked "Broken M1985", the synthetic stocked "Expulsion S-12" and a sawn off version known as the "Zap Gun" which works like a stun gun.

Goro brings the beat down on some random thugs with his "Zap Gun".

Golden Rifle

This is a Coach Gun that as the name suggests, is in gold. It is called a "Golden Rifle" as it is based on the same models from Yakuza 5, which are double barreled shotguns with rifled barrels for hunting. This means it is defined as a "rifle" in areas where such determinations are based solely on whether the gun has rifled barrels or not. But IMFDb classifies it as a shotgun due to it using shotgun cartridges.

Other

Cannon

One of the more interesting weapon options from the weapon store is what appears to be a 17th Century naval cannon without a wheel mount. This is recycled from the "special" cannon weapon class on Yakuza 0's predecessor Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!. Both the "Cannon" and the engraved "Destroyer of Lands" do quite a lot of damage to whoever you fire at.

Another view showing how Goro grabs the cannon's mounting point for the wheeled mount as a sort of grip.

Molotov Cocktail

During the raid of the "Ocean Serenade" yacht, a couple of Kashiwagi's men throw Molotov Cocktails against Shibusawa's.
