The following weapons were used in the film World Trade Center:

Smith & Wesson 5946

The Smith & Wesson 5946 is the standard firearm carried by nearly all officers of the New York Port Authority Police Department in the film including Sgt. John McLoughlin (Nicolas Cage), Officer Will Jimeno (Michael Peña), Officer Dominick Pezzulo (Jay Hernandez), Officer Giraldi (Danny Nucci), and Officer Colovito (Nicholas Turturro). Within the rubble, Officer Pezzulo is seen firing his sidearm. Pezzulo's firearm also is notably seen discharging by itself (in the actual incident, it's been speculated that it went off due to the super hot gases melting the cartridge inside the handgun).

Officer Will Jimeno (Michael Peña) takes out his S&W.

A PAPD inspector can be seen with his S&W 5946 holstered on his hip just before American Airlines Flight 11 is heard - and felt - crashing into the North Tower of the World Trade Center nearby.

The grip of the S&W is seen in the holster of Officer Giraldi (Danny Nucci).

Sgt. John McLoughlin (Nicolas Cage) has a S&W holstered.

Officer Dominick Pezzulo (Jay Hernandez) pulls his S&W.

Within the rubble, Officer Pezzulo's firearm is notably seen discharging by itself.
