The World knows Nothing (Svet nic neví) is a 1987 Czechoslovak drama. The film was directed by Jirí Svoboda on the story of the novel Miloslav Nohejl. The story takes place in the Czech-German border in 1938. The hero is Tomás Jakl (Emil Horváth), loafer who marries with Viola (Petronela Vancíková), a rich heiress of the American entrepreneur, but soon spends money and his marriage begins to disintegrate. Therefore turns to his friend, Nazi Heinrich (Milan Knazko), to help him again back up. He guaranteed for him and it is admitted into the party. Tomás gets the task to kill a woman, who is considered by Nazi to be a Jew - former teacher and now his lover Jirina Stein (Magda Vasáryová) ...
