What Happened to Monday (alternate title: Seven Sisters) is 2017 co-production sci-fi thriller directed by Tommy Wirkola. The story of the film takes place in 2073, when, due to the overpopulation of the planet, the Law on the Allocation of Children applies, which allows only one child per family. Every other child is taken away from the family and put into artificial sleep until the situation on Earth improves. This system was invented and enforced by biologist Nicolette Cayman (Glenn Close). By this time, seven sisters will be born and their grandfather (Willem Dafoe) hem after their mother's death in childbirth hiding in one apartment for thirty years. He named them as days of the week, but they must act as one person under the name of their mother - Karen Settman (Noomi Rapace). Each nurse can leave the house only once a week and always return at the end of the day. This way of life lasts until one of the sisters named "Monday" returns home.
