Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson) switches from a Rock Island Armory 1911 to a Beretta 92FS as her sidearm in Season 8, sometimes used with wood grips and suppressor. Morgan Jones (Lennie James) fires both suppressed and unsuppressed Berettas in "The Damned" (S8E03). Returning from Season 1, Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja) draws a Beretta 92FS on Rick in "The Damned" (S8E02). Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) also uses a Beretta in "Monsters" (S8E03). Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos) now uses a Beretta 92FS has her sidearm in Season 8 whereas she used SIGs and Glocks from previous seasons.

The Scavengers Leader named Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) has what appears to be two-tone SIG-Sauer GSR 1911 in a DIY holster on her boot in Season 8. She was seen with a SIG Non-Gun from Season 7's finale.

In the same episode, Morgan Jones (Lennie James) fires an Smith & Wesson M&P on the remaining Saviors inside the outpost. The Kingdom Soldier named Alvaro (Carlos Navarro) fires an Smith & Wesson M&P in "Some Guy" (S8E04).

One of the members of the Saviors briefly visible with what appears to be an original M16 in "The Damned" (S8E02). King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) tries to use an M16 in "Some Guy" (S8E04).

The original Colt M16, the first version, firing in a 20-round magazine, adopted in large numbers by the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. This has the original 3-prong flash hider. It would later be replaced by the upgraded M16A1 - 5.56x45mm
