Verdun: Descent Into Hell is a 2006 French-German produced Documentary about the Battle of Verdun in 1916 and was broadcast for the 90th anniversary of the battle. The docudrama focuses on the everyday life of simple soldiers and officers during the battle. Many archival footages are taken from the 1930 The Somme and 1931 Douaumont movies.
