Zero hour

Hey! try writing a summary of the show, where it is broadcast, what years it runs, etc. don't assume everyone knows the show. Thanks again. MPM2008

I gave as much information I had but couldn't find a proper picture for the article.Sorry for it.-SB2296

New Template Layout

Hi SB, Thanks for helping out with the weapons pages. Just to let you know we have a new layout on the Talk:Test Template Page that has the tile first and the year last. If you any help contact me. -Phoenixent 06:59, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey SB, Nice work that you have been doing on the weapons pages. Thanks for your help as this is going to be a big project change it over. -Steve 04:45, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I also agree with MT2008 that there should be a seperate column for episodes in the television section.

Actually, I'm beginning to think maybe I shouldn't have made my suggestion about the Television column, because the problem is that when guns appear on shows, they tend to appear on MANY episodes, not just one. In which case, the only thing the column will say is, "Various episodes" or something to that extent. I think a better idea is to just briefly mention episodes and other details (such as how the character uses the gun - i.e. "Standard sidearm of ______") in the "Notes" column. -MT2008 15:16, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Max Payne 2

I'm not sure if you've got a development screenshot of it, but the MP5 in the final game has a reflex sight and no suppressor, if I recall correctly. I was planning to do caps for that at some point, the trouble is it doesn't have a proper screenshot function so I'd have to get them individually using Print Screen. Vangelis 09:57, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Kaminey

Thanks brother for those nice screen caps. Realy nice work. Are you in India? ritwikbmca 18:58, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

New York

Thanks brother, I've replaced all the screencaps with new ones, and also uploaded some new images. However I could not identify two pistols. Could you please have a look at it? ritwikbmca 18:50, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

I am hoping to see the Shadow in coming week. I will start the article on next week, after having seen it. I am currently adding content to New York. And after this I will rewrite the LOC Kargil. ritwikbmca 07:36, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Table format

I cant make out why did you change the table format on INSAS? the format which have used up there was better than this one, because this is stand alone table, but mine is sortable. ritwikbmca 10:35, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

But why that would be confusing, it is same as the standard layout. The only difference is that it provides the flexibility to sort the columns in ascending or descending order, while the standard table format does not. standard layout for the weapons page is a bit obsolete compared to this one.

Re: About you

Yes I am also from kolkata, and I am a bong.ritwikbmca 16:25, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Is your surname Banerjee too? are you student or working somewhere?ritwikbmca
I guess you have an xbox or playstation, and you play games a lot. I am a postgraduate student at the university of calcutta. what is your name by the way ritwikbmca

I usually dont get much time to play games. Last game I played about a year ago was dracula origin.ritwikbmca 15:33, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes, thats one of my favourite show. I also like weapons masters, and war documentaries on history channel. ritwikbmca
Is 2296 related to your birthday? which school are you in ritwikbmca
But FOX History comes through airtel digital tv.ritwikbmca, I think other service providers also provide that. ritwikbmca
Happy Mahalaya, I've created this one, Template:Infobox Movie, tell me if you like it. ritwikbmca 14:38, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
I've rewritten the LOC Kargil using that ritwikbmca 16:30, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Yes I can create that, but the problem is, I cant decide which are the most relevant points to be included in the infoboxes. What are the most important points tobe shown in television infobox, which will be exclusive for IMFDB. Can you please help me out on this? ritwikbmca 11:47, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Re:

Yep, done. -MT2008 14:21, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Case Closed Pages

I labeled the Case Closed pages as incomplete because they are just that; incomplete. There are no captions on the pictures, no weapon useage descriptions, and not even any video cover pics. Until these things are added and the articles are completed, those tags WILL remain on those articles. Orca1 9904 09:10, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Nambu Model 60 revolver

Added some info about the revolver itself and a less than satisfying photo.Left the template alone. Unfortunately the little B&W photo was the only photo I could find. I had considered creating a page for the Model 60 in the past, but I was unaware if it had ever made an appearance in any type of movie/television/anime production.Glad to see somebody got it going. --Jcordell 22:49, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Glad to help. --Jcordell 09:30, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Re: Global Operations

Yeah, that's definitely either a later production L1A1, or a Canadian C1A1. You can tell by the front sight and the fact that the hand guard has only two ventilation holes. I can't remember what they call it in the game (since I haven't played Global Operations in about 8 years now). The SG550 is not the Sniper version; the SG550 Sniper model has a different barrel and stock (see http://remtek.com/arms/sig/sniper/550snip.htm for a picture). -MT2008 21:33, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Good eyes. Yes, that is the AW50F.
Something else I noticed...in many of the screenshots of the game I've seen, the AK seems to have a magazine with less of a curve. The image you've posted shows a Type 56, but the in-game model seems to be the similar Type 84 in .223. The Canadian armory which rented weapons to the developers seems to keep lots of Type 84 rifles in inventory. -MT2008 17:51, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
I just re-installed Global Operations for the first time in years (I found the CD while I was over at my parents' house this weekend) and have been playing it again in single-player. Anyway, the AK in the game is definitely a Chinese Type 84 rifle, which, as I've said, is because the armorer who provided the weapons to the developers for 3D modeling/animation has a lot of those in inventory. Every time the gun is reloaded, you can see it has the Type 84-style magazine, and the world_view model (the one not seen in first-person POV) has the same magazine shape. I'm not sure where the model in the picture you posted came from...is it in the instruction manual? -MT2008 23:19, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm guessing those images were taken before the final (Gold) version of the game hit store shelves. Maybe one of the 3D artists changed the AK model later on, though why he would do this is beyond me. But anyway, the gun that appears in the final game is definitely the Type 84, not the Type 56. -MT2008 19:03, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Army of Two:The 40th Day

I'm wondering are you going to screencap the game as well or am I going to repete what i did for the first game? As they say that you can add any part to any gun I'd just get images of the standard guns this time. Rockwolf66 17:33, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Operation Flashpoint 2

Thanks for adding the M99 to the page. I'm a bit in over my head in this wiki stuff. GunEnthusiast 01:50, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

The incomplete template on Operation Flashpoint

I only added it to acknowledge that the page isn't complete (which it isn't, many screencaps are yet to be taken), not to cast aspersions on the quality of it (or I would have used the {{Noeffort}} template, which would be silly since it clearly has had effort put into it, mostly my own). Anyway, the incomplete tag was just a formality until the page is complete, I don't mind that you removed it, I just wanted to clarify why I put it there in the first place. :)

By the way, nice page, and thumbs up for liking the Hitman series, they're great games. --MattyDienhoff 08:26, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, but no, it would be Far Cry 2 that takes that prize.
About the MP5, I never understood: what is the difference between the SEF and Navy trigger groups? They're both safe/semi/auto, so why the distinction? MP5 model numbers are complicated enough... --MattyDienhoff 19:47, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Bad Company 2 Beretta M93R

Why did you undo my edit on the M93R? The R does stand for Raffica, which is Italian for Burst. Any good reason why that shouldn't be there? Also, if you absolutely have to remove it, do rewrite the rest of the description to actually make sense.

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg137-e.htm

- Mutant1988

Bad Company 2 MP-412 REX

Again, why remove the description of what the name (REX) stands for? It stands for Revolver for EXport. I see no reason to omit that.

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg49-e.htm

- Mutant1988

Quit editing a page I'm working on...

....when I'm in the middle of working on it. It messes me up when my edit gets frozen/locked up because "there is an interim Edit which conflicts with the edit". thank you. MoviePropMaster2008 09:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

RE: Desert Eagle

Thank you so much for your help! I greatly appreciate it, as I haven't played too many of those games (and there were so many pages to go through). -MT2008 00:41, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

G3

If that is the episode of the North Hollywood shootout, the gun used was a Tokyo Marui SG1 (impersonating an HK91), modified with an accessory (The telescoping G3A4 stock that can be bought separately) and spray painted satin black. It was not a real rifle. the real shooters had a full auto HK91-A3 (illegally converted to full auto fire). MoviePropMaster2008 20:42, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

CSI and Delta Force pages

I'm not sure why you made those separate pages for CSI and Delta Force. Were you trying to create "Category" pages? If so, take a look at The Matrix page and scroll down to the Category:Matrix to see what a category page is. --Ben41 08:19, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages

Before you start on it, it would probably be prudent to run it by the admins such as MPM2008. You wouldn't want to get all your pages deleted if they find that it would clutter up the database. Perhaps the search engine can be modified for better results. --Ben41 11:23, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

RE:

I think it's a good idea. I actually did this myself when I made a page for Painkiller Jane to distinguish the movie (a page I worked on) from the TV show (which MPM worked on). That being said, I would avoid posting the DVD/CD cover images on the page. It looks a bit too cluttered, and it isn't necessary. Just provide the page links and a brief description of each movie/TV show/game so that the user can understand the difference. -MT2008 04:34, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and one other thing: I dunno if we need a disambiguation page for CSI, because all of those shows have different names besides just "CSI". I think we only need the disambiguation pages for movies where the title is literally identical in every way. -MT2008 04:39, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Situation Critical

Thanks and that is the North Hollywood Shootout episode. Are there any other such airsoft weapons in the page?--SB2296 06:07, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

As you noticed, the AK47s are really fake. The Beretta 92FS is plastic, all the guns from the Afghanistan episode are airsoft (I know the woman who was the armorer and they broke her guns) so the M4A1s are airsoft guns (I think I have some pics the crew sent me from that shoot), The MAC-11 is plastic, The M16A1 and A2 rifles are just too pristine to be real. They really look like plastic airsoft guns. Remember that this show had a crap budget for guns and costumes (well actually the network budgeted a lot of money, but the filmmakers spent it all on themselves and not the show). Hope this helps.
