While usually it's good to correct pages. The Red Scorpion page is undergoing revision and Improvement. Having someone come in at random and make alot of changes really does mess with the revisions and improvements. Please discuss changes on the talk page first when a page is being worked on by others. You bet. One thing though, just so you know. When you respond to a post that someone has made on your discussion page, you should post on that persons discussion page, otherwise they may not get the message. If you click on my "signature" it will take you to my page, then go to discussion and click on "add topic". Numbering System

Shortest G3

About the edit you made to the New Police Story page, are you talking about the MC51K as being the shortest variant of the G3? If so, that was not made by H&K, but by the British firm "FR Ordnance" (they also made the original MC51 which was copied by other companies as the HK51, along with a suppressed variant). In fact none of these short G3s were made by H&K, they are all after market modifications or made by other companies, like Volmer or Flemming. I have no problem with you deleting that comment though, as it was unnecessary along with wrongly suggesting that the HK51 was a production variant of the G3. --commando552 (talk) 08:48, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

No, not the MC51, I'm fairly certain there was an even shorter variant made by H&K specifically for the SAS, during the brief time the company was British-owned. They only ever manufactured a handful of them, and I'm not sure it was ever marketed elsewhere. But if you know otherwise I'm happy to be corrected.--Leigh Burne (talk) 10:43, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

I've never heard of any special version that H&K made for the UK special forces. The only special version of the G3 I'm aware of that was made for the SAS was the MC51 guns be FR Ordnance (who contracted the gunsmith Bill Fleming to do the job), including the MC51K. Below is a picture of a Fleming HK51K (an American made gun that is the same spec as the original MC51K):

I think this is pretty much as short as a G3 can get and still have any real utility. You could do a custom job to shorten the barrel even more (I have seen photos of a G3 cut down so short the tip of the bullet was poking out of the muzzle), but at that point it would be a total waste. --commando552 (talk) 11:31, 12 August 2013 (EDT)
