Schizophrenia (Rus. Шизофрения, Shizofreniya) is a 1997 Russian drama. The movie tells about the wide links of the criminal world of Russia with law enforcement agencies and special services, corruption of government officials of the highest rank. A First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government orders FSB to kill the head of a large financial corporation, Lazovsky, which is about to run for presidency.
The main character, Ivan Golubchik, born in a hunter's family and raised in an orphanage, was once a journalist, and liked the authorities very much. The journalist was invited to hunt with the general, whom he accidentally kill. But in fact Golubchik was framed, and put in prison; but after a while the same people from the special services dragged him out of prison - in exchange for agreement to cooperate. And Ivan became "Nemoy" ("Silent") - an assassin, clearly and skillfully executing the orders of his employers. It is his FSB who are going to use, to kill Lazovsky. But Nemoy goes out of control...
