Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (2017)

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the fourth entry in the Uncharted video game series and the first Playstation 4 entry (not counting the remaster). Set several years after his last adventure, the game follows retired fortune hunter Nathan Drake, who is forced back into the world of thieves- with the stakes much more personal. The 2016 video game has Drake embarking on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.

A stand-alone expansion, titled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, was released on August 2017. Chloe Frazer returns as the protagonist this time, teaming up with base game antagonist Nadine Ross (who had been exiled from her own PMC) for an adventure in India for a legendary treasure, the tusk of Ganesh, while being hunted by an Indian insurgent warlord Asav who also has eyes on the tusk. Weapons in The Lost Legacy partially overlap with the base game, but with new additions. Some of these additions made their way back to base game multiplayer as DLC weapons.

The following weapons appear in the video game Uncharted 4: A Thief's End:

Overview

The game presents the same loadout mode of the previous three games. The characters can only equip one sidearm and one long gun at a time.

A very neat detail is the addition of a sling for all long guns, which is a full physics rope object that reacts to the environment and player actions.

Pistols

Beretta 8000 Cougar

Sam Drake's main sidearm throughout the game is a Beretta 8000 Cougar with walnut grips. It's referred to as "Aegis 9mm" in-game. A Beretta 8000 Cougar Inox was seen in the second teaser for the game being handled by Nathan Drake.

Colt Rail Gun/M1911A1 Hybrid

The first full-size 1911 to appear in an Uncharted game, it goes by the name "Para .45" in-game and is a rather odd hybrid between a Colt Rail Gun and a vintage M1911A1. It has the Colt M1913 Picatinny rail, Novak rear sight, slanting front and rear slide serrations, and the black finish of a Colt Rail Gun, but it has an M1911A1 spur-hammer, front sight, trigger, lanyard loop, and non-beaver-tailed grip safety. It incorrectly holds 12 rounds in a 7-round magazine. It is the most common gun in the game, used by the player from the start to the end. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

World War II Colt M1911A1 Pistol - .45 ACP
Note the rather strangely shaped cocked hammer.
Also note that the ejection port is wider than on an actual 1911.
Reloading the 1911 shows off its rather oversized guide rod. As with the Cougar, the magazine is empty.
Racking the slide, the bullet appears to be fully in the chamber.
Somehow Nate's 1911 doesn't jam as he's going through the mudslide of the century.

Colt M1911

Rafe's personal sidearm is a nickel plated and heavily engraved Colt M1911 with pearl grips.

A closer look at Rafe's 1911 in the model viewer. Like the Colt Rail Gun/M1911A1 hybrid, the ejection port is wider than on an actual 1911.
Note the lack of relief cuts on the frame behind the trigger.

Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox

The Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox appears once again in Uncharted 4, this makes it one of the few weapons to appear in all main games in the series. It can be used only in multiplayer as the "Agarwal .40."

The first time we lay our eyes on the classic stainless 92FS is on a table in Nathan's hotel room.
Elena's 92FS Brigadier Inox in her holster. This has been her main sidearm throughout the games. It's missing the right side safety switch as it did in every game in the series.
Elena shooting away at some bad dudes, demonstrating her terrible grip.
The 92FS in the model viewer, note that the safety is off.
Here you can clearly see the lack of a safety switch meant for lefties.

Fake Beretta 93R (Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox)

A Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox standing in for a real Beretta 93R is modified with a Beretta 93R folding foregrip, an extended magazine, a extended frame with a built-in barrel weight, a longer four slot muzzle braked barrel, and the ability to fire in 3-round bursts. It is called the "Raffica" in-game. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

Note that the safety is on.
Despite this, Nate still manages to fire an entire magazine and starts reloading, rewarding the custom 92FS' ability to defy its own mechanics with another empty magazine.

Heckler & Koch USP/Glock 17 Hybrid

The game's second antagonist and leader of South African PMC Shoreline, Nadine Ross, is seen with a fictional two tone hybrid of a Heckler & Koch USP and a Glock 17. For all intents and purposes, it is simply a Gen 3 Glock 17 frame fitted with a USP slide and hammer. A DLC added the weapon to multiplayer, where it is referred to as the "Enforcer G26." A similar hybrid pistol is seen in Naughty Dog's previous game, The Last of Us.

Flintlock Pistol

Old flintlock pistols can can be found here and there, presumably belonging to some long-dead pirate. They can still be fired despite being discarded for centuries and even more ridiculously hold two rounds that are as powerful as the revolvers in-game. They can't be reloaded. An unusable broken flintlock can also be found in the Madagascar level as one of the treasures.

Thompson Center Arms Contender

The Thompson Center Arms Contender appears as the "Bishai .50 Cal" and is only available in the multiplayer as a sidearm. It's fitted with a non-removable scope.

Walther P99

The Walther P99 returns from the previous games as the "Para 9." A suppressed version is found in The Lost Legacy as the generically-named "Silenced Pistol," while a normal version is found in multiplayer.

Walther P99 - 9x19mm
Chloe gets her stealth on with a suppressed P99. It now lacks the external hammer Uncharted 3's P99 was modeled with.

Desert Eagle Mark VII

A Desert Eagle Mark VII returns in The Lost Legacy as a rare find, still named the "Desert 5." It has also been added to multiplayer, and has a slightly-more-than-implausible 10-round capacity; assuming the gun is meant to be chambered in .50 Action Express (as the name implies), it should only hold 7 rounds.

Browning Hi-Power

Asav, antagonist of The Lost Legacy, carries a Browning Hi-Power as his sidearm. Unfortunately, it is not usable by the player.

Revolvers

Smith & Wesson Model 29

A Smith & Wesson Model 29 without an ejector shroud appears early on in the game in the hands of Vargas. It can never be used by the player. On closer inspection it appears to be an altered version of Sully's Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic revolver model.

Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic

As in the previous titles, the Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic is carried by Victor Sullivan. Simply referred to as the "Revolver" in-game. It can never be used by the player.

Sully seriously needs to cut down on his smoking.
Note that the trigger is in double-action mode while the hammer is in single-action. The hammer remains in SA mode even after the revolver is fired. Ironically, the exact opposite happened in the previous games.

Mateba Model 6 Unica

One of the rarest treasures in the game (well, not really, but it should be) is the Mateba Model 6 Unica, named the "Barok .44."

Mateba Model 6 Unica, 6" barrel - .454 Casull
Note the two tone frame, this indicates that it's chambered in .454 Casull, which explains its whooping damage.

...loads the weapon with a speed loader (that is not invisible this time)...
...and then closes the cylinder shut with his hand to the relief of all revolver fans. Note the dropped speed loader.

Smith & Wesson Model 586

A stubbed nosed Smith & Wesson Model 586 makes a brief appearance in a cutscene in the main story. It can only be used in the multiplayer, where it's called the "Jackal."

Colt Single Action Army

The "DC Single Action" multiplayer DLC weapon seems to be a mildly mutated Colt Single Action Army.

Sully holds the slightly deformed Single Action Army in the multiplayer customization menu. This certainly will not help with all the jokes regarding his old age.

Submachine Guns

MP34

The Steyr MP34 in the game its called the "MP34A." It appears to have the wooden stock sawed off and the magazine is connected under it instead of on the left side. The magazine itself seems to have been changed to a 60-round quad-stack 5.45x39mm AK casket magazine for some reason. This old gun from WWII is only used by the Panamanian prison guards in the chapter "Hector Alcazár", but this is weird considering that they used the more reliable AKM in chapter 2 "An Infernal Place" set circa the year 2000 ("Hector Alcazár" is set some years after).

Sa. Vz. 61 Skorpion/IMI Micro Uzi Hybrid

A Sa. Vz. 61 Skorpion with a grip layout similar to a Micro Uzi is a fairly common weapon in the game. The grip layout helped the devs to recycle the previous machine pistols' animations. Called "Fossa R-81" in-game.

The Fossa does bear some similarity to the Croatian Alka M-93.

Sam and Sullivan look on in horror at the abomination Nathan wields.
Nathan ponders blowing it up, realizing however that holding a grenade as it explodes is a bad idea.
Definitely not the best way to reload a small pistol-style weapon. Note the bullet at the top of the magazine.

IMI Micro Uzi

The Micro Uzi returns from the previous two games as the "Micro 9mm". It is found in The Lost Legacy and Uncharted 4 multiplayer.

She then blasts away while Nadine patiently waits for her to get it out of her system.

FN P90

The FN P90 is found in The Lost Legacy and multiplayer.

Chloe heads into the underbrush with her P90 at the ready.

SR-2 Veresk

The "RKL-155" machine pistol seems to be a somewhat compressed SR-2 Veresk submachine gun. The folding foregrip has been removed, with the weapon's front end instead having a strange, semi-circular dip in the handguard that serves as a grip point, and the stock is folded on top of the weapon at all times, rendering it unusable. It is found in The Lost Legacy and is also a multiplayer DLC weapon from the Bounty Hunters DLC.

Aiming the stubby SR-2. One must wonder how effective that puny stock would actually be if it could be unfolded.

Assault Rifles/Carbines

Robinson Armament XCR-L CQB

The Robinson Armament XCR-L CQB appears simply as the "XCR." It has no stock attached in-game and has an end-cap instead. It is used only in the chapter "Lights Out" by some mafiosos.

Robinson Armament XCR-L CQB with EOTech 551 sight, Thermold polymer magazine, and vertical foregrip - 5.56x45mm
You can see here that the XCR-L CQB erroneously has a paddle mag release and a charging handle on the bolt, likely so it can use the animations shared with other assault rifles.

Inserting a new mag...
...and then racking the charging handle. The bolt is just about to go into battery.

SIG-Sauer SIG556 Classic

One of the most common rifles in the game, even more so than the AKM, is the SIG-Sauer SIG556 Classic, called the "HS39" in-game and is for some reason fitted with a CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1 stock. It is incorrectly depicted as being a fully-automatic weapon when in reality it is limited to semi-automatic only.

Note non-standard HK-style sights.
Nathan reloading the SIG556 Classic in a very amateurish manner. Note the very strange magazine, part of the top of the mag is covered, which would make it unable to feed rounds into the gun.
Drake racking the charging handle.

AKM

Going by the name "AK-47" in-game, it is actually an AKM with an AK-47 barrel (along with its front sight and gas post) instead of the typical AKM barrel with the slant compensator, it can be identified as an AKM due to the fact it has a stamped receiver, ribbed top cover (the receiver cover was smooth in earlier gameplay trailers), and the back of the receiver is squared and not slopped like the older AK-47. An interesting note is that previous Uncharted games used AK-47s that were depicted with AKM-style slant compensators. AKs with mixed and matched parts are not uncommon in the real world.

Drake engaging an enemy with his AKM in the early gameplay presentation, due to a glitch the magazine is missing from the weapon. Note the smooth top cover.
The AKM on Nathan's back. It only took around a decade but he finally learned to flip the fun switch off safe.
Note that the proportions for the sight mount are slightly off, it's a bit stretched up.
Drake about to smack out the dry magazine with a wet one...
...after doing just that, he racks the charging handle. Note the detail inside the weapon. Also note Nate's trigger discipline, something that is on/off depending on what weapon he uses throughout the game.

IMI Romat

The IMI Romat appears as the "FAL." It's fitted with a DSA SA58 railed upper receiver and bolt with an Aimpoint CompM2 red dot sight mounted atop it. It fires in three-round bursts unlike any real FAL and incorrectly holds 30 rounds in a 20-round magazine. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

Here you can easily see the DSA SA58 railed upper receiver and bolt.
Nate ups his tacticool with a "c-clamp" grip.
Drake's too busy trying to fit the magazine into the Israeli FAL with the incorrect method to notice his finger on the trigger and the fact that the magazine is empty.
The reticle of the sight. Real CompM2s don't have a white ring around the red dot and the brightness setting seems to be set to very low.

Ruger Mini-30 Tactical

A Ruger Mini-30 Tactical with a jungle camo synthetic stock and ACOG-ish optic turns up here and there. It's referred to as the "Mettler M-30." It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

Ruger Mini-30 Tactical with 20-round magazine - 7.62x39mm
Nathan warily holds the Mini-30 Tactical. Here you can see the weapon has some skewed proportions, such as the 20-round 7.62x39 magazine its fitted with being thicker than it should be and the very stubby fore-end.

Drake loading the gun with a actually loaded magazine that contains strange looking bullets.
Nathan ponders the meaning of life as he racks the charging handle.

Ruger Mini-14

A Ruger Mini-14 fitted with an Archangel Manufacturing Sparta Pistol Grip Rifle Stock, Aimpoint CompM2 red dot sight, and a somewhat oversized Ruger GB flash hider appears as the "Copperhead SR7." This Mini-14 is erroneously shown with an extended gas tube, lacking a front sight, and feeds from (oversized) old Diemaco C7 magazines, as STANAG magazines do not fit or lock into Mini-14s. It fires in full-auto which would be appropriate for an AC556, though it lacks a fire selector.

Let my aim be true...
In with a new mag...
...then chambers a new round.
The "scope" reticle.

Beretta ARX-160

The Beretta ARX-160 (going by its real name surprisingly) is one of the rarer weapons to be found in Uncharted 4. It holds 50 rounds in a 30-round STANAG magazine and it has an absurdly high fire rate, being able to empty the entire mag in about 2 seconds. It features a tan finish, a Truglo Tru-Brite holo sight, Magpul MBUS, and what appears to be a Surefire E1D LED Defender flashlight mounted to the bottom of the handguard which is never used by the player.

Racking the charging handle. Sam seems to have a habit of doing entire reloads by the hip with his right hand only, like an excessive version of reload trigger discipline.

IMI Galil ARM 7.62

A 7.62mm Galil ARM with a shortened barrel is found in The Lost Legacy and added to Uncharted 4 multiplayer, incorrectly referred to as the INSAS, the standard rifle of the Indian Armed Forces. It is used by Asav's insurgents in The Lost Legacy.

IMI Galil ARM chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. Note the thicker, straight box magazine.
File:Uncharted The Lost Legacy™ Galil.jpg
Chloe takes a look at her rifle and begins to suspect it is indeed not an INSAS. Note the shorter barrel and skeletal stock replaced with a solid one, which is still mounted on a folding hinge.

Norinco QBZ-95

The Norinco QBZ-95 is found in The Lost Legacy as the "Type 95," used by Asav's insurgents. The QBZ-95 model in-game features some mild changes compared to the real weapon, such as having a curvier carrying handle. It has also been added to base game multiplayer.

Taking aim at a villainous lake. The magazine seems to be a 5.56x45mm magazine, which is actually used on the QBZ-97, though the magazine well is still a QBZ-95 magazine well, just with the magazine release flipped to the front of the mag.

Colt Model 653

The Colt Model 653 is referred as the "M4," and is only found in multiplayer.

Thales F90/FN P90 Hybrid

A weapon with the base shape of the Thales F90 (identified by its distinctive trigger guard) and FN P90 feed design is found in The Lost Legacy and multiplayer as the "Arrowhead A3c." It is fitted with what appears to be a version of the integrated 1.5x Swarovski scope from the A1 variant of the AUG.

Remington ACR

The "Lowe-S" is a Remington ACR, and was added to multiplayer via DLC. Interestingly, it seems to use Magpul 7.62x39mm AK magazines; while 7.62x39mm was a suggested caliber for the original Magpul Masada, and aftermarket conversion kits that rechamber the Bushmaster ACR in the cartridge, the Remington ACR was never produced in 7.62x39mm.

Nate should look a little more enthusiastic, considering he is holding the first 7.62x39mm Remington ACR.

Tavor MTAR-21

Appearing as the "Carrigan 53," the MTAR-21 appears in multiplayer and The Lost Legacy. It only appears in a single chapter of The Lost Legacy.

SIG SG 552/Heckler & Koch G36C Hybrid

Exclusive to multiplayer, the "GX3-9" assault rifle appears to be a mixture of the SG 552 and G36C rifles. Specifically, it appears to have the stock, receiver, and magazine of the SG 552 with the front end and flash hider of the G36C.

Sniper Rifles

Remington M40A3

Snipers throughout the game use the Remington M40A3 and so can the player if they manage to procure one. Goes by the name "Mazur LDR" in-game. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

A rather odd bug occurring on the rifle. The clip can be seen floating right below the magazine. In front of the clip are five tiny bullets. How cute.

M14

A M14 in a JAE-100 G3 stock appears in the game as the "M14 Custom."

Remington MSR

The "Harbinger Sniper," a rare sniper rifle in The Lost Legacy, most closely resembles the Remington MSR. Despite being modeled with a bolt, it is depicted as firing semi-automatically.

Machine Guns

Stoner 63

Grossly oversized Stoner 63s (going by its real name in-game) are shown as a mounted heavy machine gun. Certain enemies carry them in a similar fashion to the GAU-19's from Uncharted 2. It (and heavy enemies wielding it) are also found in The Lost Legacy.

File:StonerM63.jpg
Stoner 63 - 5.56x45mm
Nathan with a very oversized Stoner 63.
You can see that the weapon is fitted with a chainsaw grip meant for when it is used as a handheld machine gun.
In the multiplayer mode it is possible to spawn AI buddies that wield the oversized Stoners.
For whatever reason, the handheld version of the Stoner is called a DshK (DShK being the proper way to write it) despite being the exact same model as the stationary version, and, y'know, not at all a DShK.
Nate's gonna get a lot of hot brass flying into his "area".

Browning M2

In Chapter 11 "Hidden in Plain Sight," a Gurkha RPV (or maybe several Gurkha RPVs, unless Shoreline had developed the infamous offscreen teleportation technology) used by Shoreline uses two Browning M2s as turrets. Another armored car appears in Chapter 20 "No Escape."

The M2s can be seen in the high left corner, used by Shoreliners, who... well cornered Nathan.

Shotguns

Mossberg Maverick 88

The Mossberg Maverick 88 appears once again in Uncharted 4, although it only appears in Nathan's photo from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Armscor/Rock Island Armory M30 M5 Matte Nickel

The Armscor/Rock Island Armory M30 M5 Matte Nickel appears as the "Spezzotti 12 Gauge." It correctly holds 4 shells and is fitted with a pistol grip and a black barrel. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

Although the black section at the end of the barrel looks like a muzzle device or a added choke, it is actually just the end of the black barrel sticking out from under the nickel plated heat-shield.

Sawn-off Over and Under shotgun

The "Pistole" makes an appearance yet again in Uncharted 4 and is also found in The Lost Legacy. This time, the function of the weapon is far more conceivable however and is simply an excessively shortened Over & Under shotgun modified with a pistol grip.

This time around, reloading the weapon actually makes sense for an Over & Under shotgun, to Nate's relief. Note the rare trigger discipline.

Kel-Tec KSG/Mossberg 500/590 Hybrid

The "Condor," a magazine-fed pump-action shotgun with a Kel-Tec KSG frame and Mossberg 500/590 receiver shows its hideous face occasionally.

Drake attempts to cover the gun in mud so he doesn't have to witness the abomination he's holding. Note the Mossberg 500/590-style bolt/side ejection port and screw placement. Also note how the screws holding the rail system to the gun are attached to the fore-end, which begs the question of how exactly Nathan manages to do the "pump" part of "pump action"?
Note the railed heat shield with Magpul MBUS sights.
Pumping the shotgun reveals that the chamber is filled with blur, unlike the less mutated Armscor M30 M5 Matte Nickel in the game. Also note that the fore-end simply moves through the screws that were seemingly holding it in place.
Inserting a new mag. Note the unused dual magazine tubes of a KSG.

Izhmash Saiga 12

The Saiga 12 appears as "US-AN 12 Auto Shotgun" and is a rare weapon in The Lost Legacy. It was also added to base game multiplayer. It is fitted with a drum magazine, lacks a stock, and is depicted as firing fully automatically as opposed to semi-automatically.

Franchi SPAS-12

The SPAS-12 returns in The Lost Legacy, not as the "SAS-12" but as the "S-12." Compared to its previous iterations, the SPAS-12 now has a (permanently folded) stock and is the full sized version. It is still only used in pump action, however. It features a miserably small capacity of four shells.

Launchers

China Lake/Milkor MGL Hybrid

A grenade launcher by the name "China Lake GL" is less of an actual China Lake (which would be rarer than most treasures Nathan finds in the games) and more of a strange mix of an Milkor MGL Mk 1S and a China Lake Launcher with a folding stock. It can also be found in The Lost Legacy.

File:EX-41 CHINA LAKE LAUNCHER.jpg

The biggest difference between Uncharted 4's idea of a China Lake launcher and an actual one is the MGL style revolving chamber. This weapon actually reuses the same 4-shot cylinder and front cylinder cover model from the Milkor MGL Mk 1L in previous games, though the cylinder length has now been shortened to that of a Mk 1S.
Strangely mutated firearms are something the Drakes run into very often in this particular adventure.
Note the grenade in the chamber as the pump is racked. How this weapon works is beyond explanation.
What's also beyond explanation is how Drake reloads the weapon. Note that he is holding one grenade as he is loading another. After loading two grenades, he will grab two more out of thin air and load those as well, assuming the weapon is empty that is. It holds four grenades.

Orion Flare Gun

During the ending, Elena signals for rescue with what appears to be an Orion Flare Gun.

RPG-7

The RPG-7 is a very rare weapon to run into unlike the previous games. Is fitted with a custom KAC-like rear foregrip. It is also found in The Lost Legacy.

Note that the hammer is uncocked.

Unlike Uncharted 2 and 3, the RPG-7 doesn't magically shrink when Nate puts it on his back.
Nate attempts to carve a stick figure with the tip of rocket onto a box. Note that the rocket in question is just a rocket, with no propelling charge.
Failing to do so, he loads the rocket into the RPG-7 instead.

Thrown Weapons

M26 Hand Grenade

Replacing the M67 Hand Grenade from the previous games, the M26 Hand Grenade is the standard grenade in Uncharted 4.

M18 Smoke Grenade

Unmarked yellow M18 smoke grenades are seen on the Shoreliners that use the "China Lake". They're unusable.

Miscellaneous

Lantern Pistol

One of the treasures that can be found in the Scotland level is a very unusual early 19th century flintlock "lantern pistol." It cannot be used.

Queen Anne Flintlock

One of the treasures in the Madagascar stage is a "muff pistol" with a Queen Anne-style turn-off barrel. These were small pistols carried by well-to-do ladies in their handwarmers to protect themselves from ne'er-do-wells.

George J Tibbert Revolving Rifle

A George J Tibbert Revolving Rifle can be seen on a gun display in Chapter 16: The Brothers Drake. Since this mission is a flashback taking place when Drake was young (presumably the 1980s or so) this is anachronistic, since the rifle entered production in 2006.
