Trancers (1984)

Trancers is a 1984 science fiction film directed by Charles Band. The film stars Tim Thomerson as Jack Deth, a detective in the year 2247 who utilizes a form of time travel where a drug can be injected that can transport an individual into the body of an ancestor. Deth then finds himself in 1985 Los Angeles, where he must find a way to catch a criminal who can transform people into zombies and who also has used the same form of time travel. The film's cast also included Art LaFleur and Helen Hunt. The success of the film would spawn a film franchise, which included the 1991 sequel Trancers II.
