SKS

The film opens with a Colombian soldier in a personnel truck seen armed with an SKS rifle in the Columbia shootout.

A King's County Sheriff's deputy is seen pulling a Mossberg 500 shotgun from his police car when they first arrive on the school grounds.

Colt Python

Campus guards, King's County Sheriff officers, as well as U.S. Border Patrol officers all use Colt Python .357 revolvers.

Beretta 92SB

Jack Thorpe (Michael Champion), the American terrorist, uses a Beretta 92SB as his sidearm, as noted by its rounded trigger guard. When Thorpe shows the Beretta to the guard when they first arrive at the school, it has a silencer mounted. An army infiltrator uses a Beretta 92SB at the end of the film to deliver the fatal shot to Luis.

Luis Cali (Andrew Divoff) uses a Glock 19 pistol as his weapon of choice.

Norinco Type 56-1

One of the terrorists uses a Norinco Type 56-1, as noted by its hooded front sight and under-folding stock. It is fitted with an AKM-style muzzle brake, making it similar to the gun used in Heat, meaning it was a semi-auto Chinese import, converted to full-auto fire for the film and fitted with the slanted muzzle by the gun's importer.

Poly Tech Legend AKS-47

The terrorist who commonly partners up with the other man with the 56-1 uses what appears to be a Poly Tech Legend AKS-47, a model most closely resembling a genuine AKS-47.

Browning M2HB

The belltower guards set up a .50 caliber M2HB machine gun to watch the front gate. M2HBs are also seen set-up at other parts of the school.

They load the .50 cal. The goof present is the rounds are clearly dummies, as the primers are fired.

M72 LAW

The belltower guards use an M72 LAW anti-tank launcher to blow up the police car. Thorpe tries to use one on the infiltration Black Hawk helicopters, but is shot to pieces by an M230 Chain-Gun from one of the Apache gunships providing cover for the Black Hawks.

Thorpe prepares a LAW rocket launcher before being killed. Obviously he wasn't going to fire it since it was loaded with a mock rocket.

Heckler & Koch SP89

The terrorists overrunning the school are armed mainly with Heckler & Koch SP89's mocked up as Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine guns. Army Infiltration members use them as well. Billy Tepper (Sean Astin) steals one from a terrorist when the Army infiltrates the school and tries to ambush Luis Cali with it, but is thwarted.

Uzi Carbine

One of the terrorists is seen multiple times using an Uzi Carbine, the civilian version of the Uzi, fitted with a 16-inch barrel with a barrel shroud. It seems the armorers converted it to full-auto fire for the film. It is most notably used when Joey Trotta (Wil Wheaton) knocks out a terrorist and attempts to kill another with the the Uzi, failing as the muzzle rise, very inaccurately depicted, raises his fire to the sky, and he is gunned down by the terrorist's SP89.

Ruger Mini-14

Thorpe uses an Ruger Mini-14 with a synthetic stock and scope to kill the U.S. Border Patrol officers.

Colt Carbine Variants

All rifles pictured are civilian CAR-15 variants in an A1 configuration. They have 16 inch lightweight barrels with slip-over fake XM177 moderators.

AMAC-1500 Sniper Rifle

The infiltration unit has two snipers armed with what looks like Iver Johnson AMAC-1500 sniper rifles. They have heavy muzzle brakes and fluted barrels. One appears to be an older spec than the other based on the different muzzle brakes.

M67 Hand Grenade

One of the roof guards is still partially alive after being shot by the snipers, his last act being to drop an M67 hand grenade down on the infiltration unit and kill all but the leader, who is wounded in the leg.

M60D Machine Gun

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter dropping the infiltration members into the school has two door-mounted M60D machine guns.

M230 Chain-Gun

M230 30mm Chain-Guns are mounted on Apache gunships providing cover for the infiltrator Black Hawks during the assault on the school. One of the Apaches fires it's M230 at Thorpe (Michael Champion) before he can fire a M72 LAW rocket.

Browning Hi-Power

The wounded infiltration unit leader gives Dean Edward Parker (Louis Gossett Jr.) his Browning Hi-Power sidearm when he cannot go into the building. Parker smashes through a window, alerting Luis who is holding Billy hostage. He turns around and shoots Parker in the arm, but leaves himself undefended, and is shot in turn by a member of the infiltration team.

1. Colombian soldiers, are not allowed to wear moustaches or any facial hair.
2. The Colombian Ministry of Defense has never purchased: SKS rifles, Steyr AUG rifles, RPD light machine guns, or the Beretta AR-70/223.
