The Town is a 2010 crime drama directed by and starring Ben Affleck as a Boston bank robber who begins to have feelings for a victim of one of his earlier heists. While the film was adapted from the book Prince of Thieves, Affleck acknowledged that the 1995 film Heat was a big influence (the film even shows Affleck's character watching the film). The cast includes Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm and Pete Postlethwaite.

Glock 17

Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) and James 'Jem' Coughlin (Jeremy Renner) both use Glock 17 pistols during the robbery at Fenway Park when they are disguised as police officers. An armored car guard and Boston Police Department officers are also armed with Glocks. In the extended cut DVD there is a scene in which FBI Special Agent Adam Frawley (Jon Hamm), Frawley's Boston P.D partner Dino Ciampa (Titus Welliver) and a large number of FBI Agents and Boston P.D. Detectives draw Glock 17 handguns on a poor decoy that Doug and his crew have utilized to fool the police just prior to the Fenway Park shootout.

Later in the film Jem (Jeremy Renner) uses the H&K 416 during the Fenway Park shootout when he uses up all two mags of his AKMS. In a continuity error, we actually see Jem switch back and forth to his AKMS when reloading and when it was empty, then he grabs a 416.

AKMSU

During the armored car ambush Jem (Jeremy Renner) uses a RIS-equipped AKMSU carbine to wound an overeager guard trying to use Doug as a human shield and later uses it to fire on the BPD officers that give chase. When two police cruisers manage to corner them with a PIT maneuver, and an officer orders them out of their car, Jem releases a large burst of weaponfire, spraying up the police cars with bullet holes and also destroying the engine blocks, sending the officers scrambling for cover.

To escape after being blocked in with a PIT maneuver, Coughlin sprays up the squad cars with a burst of weaponfire. Gloansy on the right would probably be deaf if Coughlin fired the weapon this way in real life.
