Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (1979)

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was a 1979 seven-part drama spy miniseries for the BBC. Directed by John Irvin, produced by Jonathan Powell, it is the television adaptation of the 1974 novel by the same name by John le Carré. Starring Alec Guinness, Michael Jayston, Anthony Bate and George Sewell. It was released in the United Kingdom on September 10, 1979 and in the United States over a year later on September 29, 1980.
