Three Thieves (US release title; original title is Protsess o tryokh millionakh ("The Three Million Trial")) is a Soviet 1926 B&W silent crime comedy directed by Yakov Protazanov and based on the play "I tre ladri" by Umberto Notari. Cascarilla (Anatoli Ktorov), a gentleman thief of international fame, plans to steal a great sum of cash from the house of banker Ornano (Mikhail Klimov) but his plans are spoiled by the appearance of small-time burglar Tapioca (Igor Ilyinsky).

Gun-shaped Lighter

During the scene in Noris Ornano's room Cascarilla's pistol switches to a gun-shaped lighter. In the final scene the lighter falls in hands of Count Mirambelli (Nikolai Prozorovsky), making him very astonished.
