Rifles

M16

Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) uses the M16A1 in Season 5.

The original M16, the first version, firing in a 20-round magazine, adopted in large numbers by the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. This has the original 3-prong flash hider. It would later be replaced by the upgraded M16A1 - 5.56x45mm

M1 Carbine

Tyreese (Chad Coleman) continues to carry an M1 Carbine at the beginning of Season 5.

The Modern Manufactured version of the M1 Carbine, with standard stock, from Auto-Ordnance (affiliated with Kahr Arms and Thomson Arms) - .30 Carbine

Tyreese continues to tote the M1 Carbine.

Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine

Glenn appears to be carrying the M44 Carbine (it's possible that this is the same rifle from Season 4).

Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine, with attached side-folding bayonet - 7.62x54mm R. Note, slightly longer barrel ahead of the front sight to accomodate locking in the bayonet, brass reinforcements around the sling holes and an integral bayonet attached to the barrel.
