In the tavern of Fort Smith is by gold-digger known as Red Fox ([[Jirí Vrstala]]) treacherously killed by an old drunken Indian Mattotaupa, which not wanting to tell where is a gold mine of Indians. His son, Tokei-Ihto ([[Gojko Mitic]]) returns to the tribe called Sons of Great Bear, where waiting his woman Vinonah ([[Kati Szekély]]). After two years this tribe is almost the last, which has not been subjected to advancing the white civilization. In the attack on the convoy of settlers into the hands of Indians falls the daughter of fort commander Cate Smith ([[Karin Beewen]]). Tokei-Ihto take her to the fort itself and wants to smoke a peace pipe with major Smith ([[Hans Hardt-Hardtloff]]), but is greeted by gunfire of Lt. Roach ([[Gerhard Rachold]]). Meanwhile, the treacherous Red Fox negotiates a contract with the chief of the tribe and arrange to Tae-Ihto as a negotiator was sent to the fort. There is forced to sign onerous contracts and when he refuses, is imprisoned. He manages to escape and goes with his tribe in Canada. However, it is haunted by gunmen seeking to obtain a reward for his capture. To enable for the safe passage of his tribe, take the challenge to a duel by Red Fox.
