The Osterman Weekend was the 1983 feature film adaptation of the novel written by Robert Ludlum and marked the final feature to be directed by Sam Peckinpah. The film follows John Tanner (Rutger Hauer), a journalist who is recruited by the CIA to gather a group of individuals who may be part of a secret KGB spy network in an attempt to get them to defect to the west.

The following weapons were used in the film The Osterman Weekend:

MAC-10

The MAC-10 fitted with a suppressor and a laser sight is used by an operative. This is one of very first appearances of the use of a laser sighting device on a firearm in any Hollywood production.
