The Orville is an American science fiction comedy-drama series inspired by sci-fi series such as Star Trek. The series was created by Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, who stars as Ed Mercer, Captain of the U.S.S. Orville (ECV-197). Adrianne Palicki co-stars as Commander Kelly Grayson, the first officer of The Orville who also happens to be Mercer's ex-wife.
