In all likelihood this is a Tokyo Mauri Desert Eagle .50AE airsoft gun, it is used by Kyon and Haruhi for a short scene and regulary by Mikuru Asahina during the SOS Brigades film, the handguns are simply referred to as model guns by the characters.

A happy Haruhi emerges from the model shop with two free Desert Eagle.50AE's

The reason he points the gun in this direction and fires is likely due to Itsuki being the opposite direction... however there may be other reason why he would specifically aim there

Haruhi proves how far she will go to stay out of trouble by adding attacking a shrine priest with duel Desert Eagle.50's to her long line of offences

"Waitress fom the Future" Mikuru shows her method of safety on by aim upwards into the sky asking the question does Mikuru even know how to use a gun?

Mikuru aims at "the evil witch" Nagato in the low budget fight of the SOS brigades movie

What appears to be a bog standard replica of an AK-47 is used by Mikuru during the model shops advertisement video, the airsoft gun must be electric as offscreen rapid firing can be heard... along with the cries of an unfortunate Mikuru.

Mikuru nervously accepts the AK from Haruhi, wearing a bunny suit and being watched by numorous young men causing her to be embarressed while holding an automatic airsoft gun is not a good combination
