This gun was used in the scenes where Steve McQueen actually shoots his handgun, because the Colt was not reliable with blanks.

In a continuity mistake of the movie, we see that the Colt Python is replaced for a Colt Trooper in one scene
High Standard pump shotgun
In this scene, the movie's hero uses a rarely High Standard 8111. A pump shotgun rarely seen.
Ruger Mark III Standard
When McQueen is in the Gunshop, we can see briefly several guns, including a Ruger Mark III Standard, hanging on the wall (I think there is also a Colt Woodsman, but I am not really sure) It would be a Mark I as the Mark III has only been available for a few years, not in the 1960's
