The following guns were used in the film The Deer Hunter:

The Deer Hunter (1978)

Colt Detective Special

Nick (Christopher Walken) can be seen using a Colt Detective Special while playing Russian Roulette with Michael (Robert De Niro) in the nightclub.

Michael's turn to take it and pull the trigger.
Nick takes it again, and pulls the trigger.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Nickel 2"

The first three screencaps are of the revolver Stan has in a scene near the beginning of the movie. The rest I believe to be a different gun from the latter part of the movie. See the quote in the fourth screencap.

Another shot of Stan's revolver.
Yet another shot. Is this a blued model?

Axel takes a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver with 2" barrel out of Stan's waistband to show Michael. Later in the hunting cabin Stan threatens Axel with it, and Michael takes it from him and puts one round in the cyclinder, clicking it empty against Stan's head.

Axel holding Stan's nickel Model 10 revolver. Not sure if this is the same revolver Stan had in the first part of the movie. Michael - "What's that for?" Stan - "The same thing the other one was for." So, according to this quote, it's a different gun.
Stan points his loaded nickel Model 10 revolver at Axel with the hammer cocked. That's not a very nice thing to do to your friend.
Michael unloads Stan's nickel Model 10 revolver, proving it was loaded whereas Stan claimed it was unloaded.
Michael puts one round in Stan's nickel Model 10 revolver leaving 5 empty chambers. "You want to play games? Alright, I'll play your fucking games."
Michael puts Stan's nickel Model 10 revolver to his head, clicking the gun empty on him. "How do you feel now? Huh? HUH? BIGSHOT?"

Smith & Wesson Model 10

The VietCong soldiers order the US soldiers to play Russian Roulette with a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver. Michael (Robert De Niro) most notabley uses it when he asks the Vietnamese soldiers to load three bullets in the gun, which he then uses to kill three soldiers and uses their weapons to dispatch the rest.

Unknown Shotgun

A Shotgun is seen on the rifle rack in Michael's house.

Remington 7600

The rifle on the gun rack in Michael's house is a Remington 7600 pump rifle

Potential error: The Remington 7600 was introduced in 1981, the movie was made in 1978, most likely is a Remington 760, the predecessor of the 7600.

This is a user observation, I leave to the editor the correction in the page

M16A1

M16A1 rifles are carried by Nick (Christopher Walken) and Steven (John Savage) while serving in Vietnam. Michael (Robert De Niro) notabley uses one to shoot a Vietnamese soldier after hitting him with a flamethrower. Many soldiers carry them as well when Michael returns to Saigon to look for Nick.
