The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (2019)

Man of Medan is an interactive drama videogame developed by Supemassive Games (who also made Until Dawn) released in 2019, and one of the eight foreseen installements of The Dark Pictures Anthology. A sequel entitled Little Hope was planned to be released in 2020.

The game focuses on a group (brothers Alex and Brad Smith, Alex's girlfriend Julia, Julia's brother Conrad, and boat captain Félicité "Fliss" DuBois) on a diving trip in the South Pacific, looking to explore an underwater WWII-era plane wreck. After angering a gang of pirates (Olson and his goons Junior and Danny), the group is taken hostage and brought to the ghost ship SS Ourang Medan where the "Manchurian gold" is fabled to be hidden. The people inside, however, experience terrifying hallucinations and other supernatural events, and must make critical choices to stay alive and finally leave the ship.

The following weapons appear in the video game The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan:

M1A1 Thompson

During the first segment of the game, set a few years after World War II and focusing on a US soldier named Joe, a M1A1 Thompson can be seen in the SS Ourang Medan, first used by a crazed sergeant, and then by Joe. Oddly, it is depicted using a curved magazine rather than a straight box one.

On the top right corner, the Thompson can be seen lying next to the dead soldier.

Joe about to fire. Notice how it has a tube under the barrel, likely a gas tube (which the M1A1 doesn't have).

SIG-Sauer P226

A two-tone SIG-Sauer P226 is used by the pirates Olson and Junior. It seems to have been peppered with design details from other pistol models, which are noted below.

Olson aiming the P226. It has quite a plain and flat slide, like a M1911, lacking the contours of a real P226

Junior points the P226 at Julia, displaying its Hi-Power-style slide stop.
