Telefon is a 1977 spy thriller that stars Charles Bronson as Major Grigorij Borzov, a sympathetic Soviet officer who must come to America and locate and stop fifty Soviet sleeper spies who all infiltrated American society and have been brainwashed into becoming killers when they hear certain 'trigger phrases'. The film was directed by Don Siegel, based on a screenplay written by Peter Hyams and Sterling Siliphant (the noted screenwriter of such films as The Killer Elite (1975) and In the Heat of the Night).
