Taxi is a 1998 French action-comedy written and produced by Luc Besson and directed by Gérard Pirès. In Marseille, skilled scooter-driving pizza delivery boy Daniel finally has his dreams come true and gets a taxi license. Caught by the police for a huge speed infraction, he will help Emilien, a loser inspector who can't drive, on the track of German bank robbers. The film would spawn three sequels, a 2004 American feature film remake starring Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon, as well as a 2014 NBC television series adaptation Taxi Brooklyn.
