It isn't an M4, that has the barrel centrally located in the handguard. Due to the piston design of the HK rifles they have an asymmetric handguard where the barrel is closer to the bottom rail, which appears to be the case in this screenshot. As for the barrel profile, I don't think that HK use the M4 profile any more due to the fact that it was actually completely pointless as the design spec was changed half way through meaning that it didn't mount an M203, but they just never changed the barrel for some reason. As for the gas block, you can get extended rail handguards for the HK416/MR556 which go over the gas block, such as the one on the M27. Incidentally, this handguard also lacks the cut-out for the grenade launcher mount which seems to be the case in the pictured gun as well.  --[[User:Commando552|commando552]] ([[User talk:Commando552|talk]]) 15:02, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

Please help ID (2015)

Morgan seems to carry a modern 1911-variant in the season premiere. --Warejaws (talk) 07:34, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

Morgan with his holstered 1911 in "First Time Again" (S6E01).

Please help ID these pistols and other weapons. --Ben41 (talk) 20:13, 19 October 2015 (EDT)

The top two caps in the set - Looks like a standard commercial blued 1911A1 (AKA Colt Government Model), though the hammer and beavertail look a bit off, might be an original M1911 but I'm not sure. Third cap is some kind of full-length barreled AR and obviously some kind of revolver in the holster (looks like Hogue grips so it might be a S&W). The semiauto I know I've seen before but can't place right now (looks kind of like a Ruger P94, but I don't think that's it).. Last cap looks to be an M4A1 carbine. Could Olivia's pistol be a Star Model B? Hammer and trigger look reminiscent of one, although I could be wrong.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 21:21, 19 October 2015 (EDT)

Star Model B Pistol, blued finish - 9x19mm.
Ah, yes, the Star! Now that you mention it, I'd have to go with that one. Would be nice if we could get a shot of the right side to positively confirm, but I'd have to concur with that one for now. StanTheMan (talk) 21:29, 19 October 2015 (EDT)
You can sot of confirm that it is a Star from the caps if you look at the top of the grip. On a real 1911 the grip plate has a rounded top that is slightly sloped. The left grip panel also slightly covers a tube containing detents for the slide stop and safety. On the show gun this tube is absent and the grip plate appears to go all the way to the top of the frame with a level top. The way the slide stop works is also different, with the Star having the detent plunger inside the slide stop itself engaging in a notch in a circular pin protruding out of the side of the frame. You can just make out that pin (which has a cutout in the grip plate to accommodate it) in the first cap. --commando552 (talk) 12:35, 21 October 2015 (EDT)

Another discussion about Rick's AK

Came across on the one video that used the exact same rifle, which Rick carry in Season 5 and Season 6. I couldn't find any differences. In a footnote to the video author says: "***EVERYBODY SAYING THIS AK IS CHINESE YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR EYES CHECKED*** My version of a torture test on the 7.62x39 Romanian AKM. Using 1994 Yugoslavian surplus ammunition." What do you think about that? Can somebody say obvious differences of Romanian AKM from other rifles? Here is the link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzwdCCNwn4M

--FARID (talk) 13:22, 20 July 2015 (EDT)

I'm thinking he's simply wrong, because you can clearly see the hooded front sight indicative of a Type 56. All of the full-size AIMs we have pictured here have open-top front sights. Spartan198 (talk) 21:48, 20 July 2015 (EDT)

That doesn't have a hooded front sight, if you look right at the top you can just see the gap between the two wings. I think it is just the reflections and the background making it look like it might be hooded. Another point to bear in mind with the Norinco hooded sight, it is the same size as the large original AK-47 one, as opposed to this which is a narrow AKM size one. --commando552 (talk) 18:45, 26 July 2015 (EDT)

Smith & Wesson 39

Looking at the trigger guard, I'm pretty sure that Heath's Smith & Wesson 39 is actually a Benelli B76.--Luxarms (talk) 10:42, 25 July 2015 (EDT)

Agreed, I've gone ahead and changed it. --RedRobinAlpha (talk) 18:13, 25 July 2015 (GMT)

New Promo Pic with Guns

Walking Dead Promo pic.jpg

Glenn still has his Series 70; but I'm also seeing a few ARs, pump action shotgun I can't identify offhand, possibly a Glock 26, I think Smith & Wesson M&P at the end of the table & Beretta 92FS. --ZombieKiller (talk) 06:56, 7 October 2015 (CST)

Jessie's Pistol

I don't think Jessie's pistol is a makarov I think it might be a browning can anyone confirm?--Balin21 (talk) 15:10, 12 October 2015 (EDT)

Firearm in Season 6's premier

A lot of guns were missed and not noted on the page after first episode.

Nickel pistol in the hands of an Alexandria resident during construction works. That appears to be the Beretta 92SB.

Walter P22 at the beginning of episode.

M16 in the hands of Abraham.

FNH SCAR 17S in the hands of an Alexandria resident briefly seen during the flashback moment at the end of episode.

The Carter's shotgun are the Remington 870 Wingmaster. Good view on the shotguns handguard can be seen in the hands of Michonne at the end of episode.--FARID (talk) 06:18, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

Olivia's Handgun

Olivia's handgun looked like some kind of Colt 1911 pistol can anyone confirm?--Balin21 (talk) 20:09, 19 October 2015 (EDT)

Beretta 92FS Inox

I believe that Beretta 92FS Inox is actually a Centurion model, as it is seen in much more detail in this promotional photo from The Walking Dead Story Sync, any thoughts?:

.

--Alienqueen11 (talk) 22:17, 2 November 2015 (EST)

I concur, 92FS Centurion Inox. StanTheMan (talk) 00:34, 3 November 2015 (EST)
Yeah, definitely looks like a Centurion. --Warejaws (talk) 01:52, 3 November 2015 (EST)

Abraham's RPG?

What kind of RPG did Abraham find I've never seen that type before can anyone ID?--Balin21 (talk) 10:18, 17 November 2015 (EST)

It seems like a Airtronic RPG-7 to me, due the M4 stock and the black color --Luxarms (talk) 10:50, 17 November 2015 (EST)
Airtronic RPG-7 - 40mm
Sub topic here. The stabilizing fins on the rpg rounds he finds in the separate case are already deployed, something that only happens after the round has been fired. --Charon68 (talk) 20:03, 23 November 2015 (EST)
It isn't so much that the fins are deployed (they don't shoot out the back of the front section or anything), but rather that none of the warheads are fitted with the intact booster which would hide them. On real warheads the rear fin section is shrouded in a cardboard tube containing the powder charge that initially launches the warhead from the tube, which burns away leaving the fins free to fold out once the round is out of the tube. Another thing to bear in mind though, is that if rounds are being transported like this the booster/fin section shouldn't be attached anyway. These are transported separately in a protective sleeve with the warhead/rocket motor section having a transport cap over the rear end covering the percussion cap. In order to fire it you have to screw the two sections together, but doing it like this means that the percussion cap and the booster that it initiates are kept away from one another until you are ready to actually fire it. --commando552 (talk) 13:38, 24 November 2015 (EST)

Heath's Benelli B76

In "Thank You" (S6E03), Heath fires shot 17 or 18 rounds with his Benelli B76 without reloading, only holds 8 rounds. Like back in season 5's "The Distance" (S5E11), Rick fires 12 or 13 rounds with his Colt Python without reloading, only holds 6 rounds. Gotta love mistakes.--User:Thestormjamieson (User talk:Thestormjamieson) 8:47, 18 November 2015 (CT)
That always annoys me, continuity! Get it right.
Not as bad as when some says something like "we got 10 sec!!" and then 36 sec or something like that goes before the thing happens. Dumb.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 21:05, 23 November 2015 (EST)
Rah rah rah Mr. Wolf (talk) 22:15, 23 November 2015 (EST)
Let's face it: reloading scenes end up on the cutting room floor. (The character reload when we aren't looking. :)) I don't think it's a continuity mistake as much as it is a decision based on action flow. It was gratifying to my sense of realism that Rick reloaded his AK in the last gun battle I watched him in, and the TV Guide publicity photo shows him carrying his AK with the end of a spare magazine sticking out of his side pocket. Realistically the survivors should all be carrying mag bags, canteens, first aid kits, ration pouches, etc. but I bet the wardrobe mistress would object. -- Carl N. Brown (talk) 20:06, 2 April 2016 (EDT)

Enid's M1911

I believe Enid's 1911 might be a Springfield Armory TRP. The Walking Dead Story Sync claims it to be so although you can't always trust it, but the slide serrations seem to match the TRP more than the Kimber so I changed it, if I'm wrong at all, feel free to change it.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 20:19, 25 November 2015 (EST)

Looks right to me. Mr. Wolf (talk) 03:09, 26 November 2015 (EST)

Firearm in the scene after the credits

I was able to determine only part of guns. Norinco Type 56-1 (in one moment can notice that the rifle without the stock), M4A1, Ithaca 37 with sawed-off stock and barrel, I also think that one of the bikers carry Ingram MAC-10. Can somebody to ID other guns?--FARID (talk) 12:57, 30 November 2015 (EST)

SpoilingTheDeadFans Facebook

I was looking at photos from SpoilingTheDeadFans on Facebook and I saw some photos with Rosita & Daryl. Rosita holds, possibly an Smith & Wesson 327 Performance Center R8 and Morgan's custom rifle. I can tell from the colored parts of the rifle and the 11.5" barrel. Also in four pictures, Daryl holds what appears to be an Benelli M4 Super 90. That's all the guns I notice from SpoilingTheDeadFans photos on Facebook. I can't wait for Season 6B on February 14th.--Thestormjamieson (talk) 09:08, 3 February 2016 (CST)

Spencer's M1911

I was on Austin Nichols' Twitter and I saw one photo caught my eye. It was Austin Nichols and Christian Serrato in an photo, Nichols holding up his M1911A1 but I saw the sslide serrations and beavertail. Spencer's M1911A1 is actually a Springfield Armory TRP. Should it be changed or leave it M1911A1?-- -Thestormjamieson (talk) 09:19, 3 February 2016 (CST)

I think that should be left as the M1911A1 in the screenshots his pistol look more like a Colt than Springfild. Moreover, for quite often breaks the actors are seen with different weapons and sometime take something concreted for personal photos, for example, during the shooting of the episode 7 of season 2 there are shots where Glenn held Mossberg 500 Perduader with standart 5-shot tube.-- - FARID (talk) 10:35, 3 February 2016 (CST)

Daryl's Revolver

Please help ID this revolver. It doesn't look like a Ruger LCR. --Ben41 (talk) 16:48, 23 February 2016 (EST)

Daryl (Norman Reedus) draws his revolver in "The Next World" (S6E10).
Revolver seen on the right in "The Next World" (S6E10).
Paul "Jesus" Rovia (Tom Payne) also uses Daryl's revolver. in "The Next World" (S6E10).
I thought it was an Astra Terminator while I was watching the episode.
File:Term-rs.jpg
Astra Terminator, right side - .44 Magnum

--RedRobinAlpha (talk) 17:22, 23 February 2016 (EST)

It has a Ruger style cylinder release so isn't a Terminator. My guess would be that it is a Speed Six. --commando552 (talk) 20:25, 23 February 2016 (EST)
Ruger-style release, six shots, fixed sights, agreed, Speed Six, --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:58, 23 February 2016 (EST)
I didn't really think it was a LCR ether, I just didn't have any pics to go off of. Mr. Wolf (talk) 11:55, 24 February 2016 (EST)

Law Enforcement Carbine

Wouldn't having an 11.5" barrel make it an M933? Spartan198 (talk) 17:39, 7 March 2016 (EST)

Please help ID (2016)

Paul "Jesus" Rovia is seen with a pistol in episode 12, that I can't identify. -- Thestormjamieson (talk) 18:22, 7 March 2016 (CST)

Jesus with a pistol in "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12).
The Savior fires the rifle in "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12).

Thestormjamieson (talk) 07:21, 29 March 2016 (CST)

The Savior fires his shotgun at Daryl & Rosita in "Twice as Far" (S6E14).

The shotgun is a short barreled Remington 870 with a some kind of stock and pistol grip. This isn't very clear, we really need HD screencaps. Mr. Wolf (talk) 13:50, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

HK416?

The "M4A1" in the picture below comes across (to me) as an HK416. Going off the handguard, you can see that it matches the 416's and I believe I can also spot the vent holes above the rail section. Can I get a second opinion? Majorcamo (talk) 09:57, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

What appears to be a M4A1 with a low profile gas block, a long squared quad-rail handgaurd, folded BUIS, and a vertical foregrip is used by a Savior in "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12).
I can see what you're saying, but it still seems off from a HK416, like that it lacks the HK416 gas block and the barrel is smooth and not a M4-style barral like the 416. As I said it looks like Mitch's custom M4A1/AR-15 form Season 4.
Mitch holds his rifle outside the prison in "Too Far Gone" (S4E08).
Mr. Wolf (talk) 14:04, 31 March 2016 (EDT)
Another close match seems to be the HK417, but the barrel length seems wrong and the muzzle flash is pretty small for a 7.62x51mm blank.
Heckler & Koch HK417 with 20" barrel, Leupold Mark 4 scope, and Harris bipod - 7.62x51mm NATO
Heckler & Koch HK417 with sights removed and 16" barrel - 7.62x51mm NATO
Mr. Wolf (talk) 14:13, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

Incidentally, this handguard also lacks the cut-out for the grenade launcher mount which seems to be the case in the pictured gun as well. --commando552 (talk) 15:02, 31 March 2016 (EDT)
