So, the thing about living under a glass dome...
I had this same issue with The Simpsons Movie in that one of two things will happen: it'll eventually get so hot inside the dome (because solar heat can go through the glass, but there's no wind to regulate the temperature) that no one would be able to survive, or all the oxygen will get used up and everything will suffocate.
