The scene where James Bond disarms Carver's guards of their Calico 950 submachine guns is in Ho Chi Mihn City Vietnam as is the scene where Bond and Wai Lin are at the safe house its not Shanghai or Bejing China its in Vietnam

AR-18

The gun he uses is an AR-18? That's odd, because I was reading in this James Bond book and it said the gun he used was an AR-70/90. Is it possible it was a 70/90 and not an 18? -Gunman69 16:00, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Glock

A bit of extras, but I believe that Tomorrow Never Dies marks the first appearance of a Glock pistol in Bond movies.

A Glock 17 was used in a deleted scene of Goldeneye, as we have documented on the page for that movie. But since this scene didn't appear in the movie, technically, I guess you are correct. -MT2008 22:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Am I wrong or is Bond wasting one of his remaining two rounds for nothing in the final battle on the ship?

Can anyone identify any of the guns in the opening credits.

I don't think it is a BDA, as the safety is too long, the serrations are too close to the rear of the slide, the length of the serrated section isn't long enough, and the magazine has a thick base plate. All of these features match the Browning BDM however. FYI, I think the pictures of the BDM that are on this site feature it at the half cock (I don't totally understand how the hammer works on the BDM as it can be switched between DA and DAO), when it is fully forward it is pretty much totally inside the slide. --commando552 08:46, 24 January 2012 (CST)

I think the pistol used by one of Carver's goons in his building (where Bond throws down that paper satellite) could either be a Glock (I assume it could be the prop used again by Carver in the final showdown) or USP Fixer

MP5K PDW

Carver's henchmen fire MP5s at Bond and Wai Lin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the MP5K of the guy on the right have both a folded PDW stock and an extended barrel? That would mean that there is at least one genuine PDW in this film, rather than them all being mocked-up MP5Ks as stated on the page. Jimmoy 11:46, 10 May 2012 (CDT)

Are Carver's Henchmen a Private Military Company?

Carver's henchmen operate a stealth warship armed with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles, the crew and security personel wear black fatigues with PASGT helmets and wield MP5 variants, he has trained helicopter pilots with gunner's firing from the chopper near his Vietnamese office, his other henchman drive Land Rovers and wield MP5Ks and Calico submachineguns, and let's not forget his henchmen in Germany who have fully automatic AR-15 variants with M203 grenade launchers, drum magazines and anti tank rocket launchers. Clearly if he has access to these kinds of resources, he might as well also go into the PMC business since the Carver Media Corp is a huge media conglomerate and he seems to be a billionaire.

It's a Bond movie, most of the villains could make more money using their resources for legitimate business than their actual schemes could possibly generate. Austin Powers even pointed that out. :P Evil Tim (talk) 03:12, 22 February 2015 (EST)
