Am I thinking that in this timeline, the G3 wouldn't exist in its current form because they won the war and the 7.62 was not forced upon NATO by the US. I think the Germans would have refined the kurz round in the STG44s and would have replaced all frontline bolt action rifles with those guns and later the G3 would be more like the G33 series but instead of 5.56, it'd be a German round Excalibur01 (talk) 17:13, 8 March 2019 (EST)
