::I got my first gun, a TM Glock 26 like Rento's, but normal, five or six years ago, but I only got a rifle and started actually going to games in the last two years or so. I've disassembled both my M4 and M1911 down to every last part and reassembled them (for good reason, mind you), so I know my way around them pretty well. I'm not sure how experienced everyone else here is with airsoft, but if someone's confused about something or other, I can probably help :) Facts of the day: For those who don't know how they work, electric airsoft guns are neither open nor closed bolt, they're a kind of weird mix of the two. There's never a round in the chamber, and when you pull the trigger the piston  cycles back, then forward, chambering a round and also firing it, then the piston stays there. Basically, instead of cycling after firing, they cycle before. Gas guns, however, function exactly the same as real ones (minus shells), with the key difference being that the propellant is stored in the magazine instead of within each round, thus they can't fire without a mag in the gun. The slides and hammers don't just move for show, they're completely functional. Wow, that was way more of a wall of text than I intended :/ [[User:Alex T Snow|Alex T Snow]] ([[User talk:Alex T Snow|talk]]) 00:39, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

I played Airsoft when I was in college. My team was lead by a guy who served in the British paratrooper, so he taught us the basics on how to be a soldier and even got us all to dress up in British DPM. So before I had even handled my first real gun, I knew the firearms safety rules, the fundamentals, team work, and some basic infantry tactics. I had a lot of fun running around the woods, going through rivers and swamps and clearing buildings. At the time, we all used rifles that were battery power, but by the time I graduated college, some of us had switched to gas powered rifles like our sidearms. I loved using the gas powered rifles because they felt even more like real weapons and bolts lock back when empty as well as more simulated recoil. I had sold most of my gear to the freshmen that came after me. My rifle was a CA M4 with a RIS, vertical foregrip, an actual Magpul CTR stock and an airsoft EOtech. I kept the stock because I wanted it on my real AR one day. My sidearm was a Glock 17, which I also sold. TM

A lot of their weapon choices are ones that are high-profile in Tokyo Marui's line-up. Guess they're going to fly the flag for domestic airsoft.Temp89 (talk) 06:17, 15 July 2013 (EDT)

Well, Tokyo Marui is listed in the credit as the military adviser for the series, so it's probably safe to assume that all the weapons are modeled after TM products.--Wildcards (talk) 18:08, 16 July 2013 (EDT)
Here's Tokyo Marui's Page advertising the anime and their product.--Wildcards (talk) 14:14, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
Damn, TM just did most of our job for us. I think if a gun in the show isn't particularly detailed and/or is causing confusion as to exactly which variant it is, we should go by the replica it's based on. The pictures there aren't necessarily the variants used in the show, they show the black P228, but Yachiyo uses the stainless version. Note that beside the P228 it lists two variants with the blue "Air" bubble, which means both are spring powered. The Skorpion, M4A1, 92FS, G17 and Desert Eagle, all have mulitple replicas too. Alex T Snow (talk) 17:02, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
I noticed they showed the AUG in the ad for the show, but the only appearance I see it in is in Sonora's Closet. Inceptor57 (talk) 20:48, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
I noticed that too. I bet she'll be using it as her primary, and this picture is basically a spoiler of that. I wonder what she'll have for optics on it. Alex T Snow (talk) 22:42, 22 July 2013 (EDT)

Just found this page on another forum describing the Tokyo Marui New Gindan series. Could the pink pistol actually be Glock 26? --Wildcards (talk) 13:33, 2 August 2013 (EDT)

Yeah, Looked at the design again in the anime, Akane used the red Glock, not the PPK. Inceptor57 (talk) 18:00, 2 August 2013 (EDT)

Here are all the main airsoft guns used in the show, we can use these as reference in case detail isn't clear on something. A few noteworthy things: The TM AUG A1 is discontinued. TM's electric Skorpion has a black grip; only the spring-powered version has a brown grip. TM only makes a spring-powered P228, even though Yachiyo's seems to be gas-powered in the show, and while the SIG looks stainless in that one picture we have, I'm pretty sure that was the lighting, as it looked black to me at every other point in the show, like here. Links incoming: Vz. 61 Škorpion, G17, Desert Eagle Mark XIX, P90, "Strike Warrior", G36KV, Mk IV Series '70, AK-47, G26 "Advance", AWM, Type 89-F, P228. Alex T Snow (talk) 10:06, 7 August 2013 (EDT)

Help identifying guns

(Ep.1)
(Ep.1)
(Ep.1)

Can someone help identifying these guns? Inceptor57 (talk) 08:22, 16 July 2013 (EDT)

First AEG rifle is Howa Type 89-F Airsoft.
Howa Type 89 F Assault Rifle
The second image is a parody scene of "First Blood". But this revolver was used not Sheriff Will Teasle. He used Smith & Wesson Model 66. - KINKI'boy (talk) 21:58, 16 July 2013 (JST)
Thanks, i added one more image, do you know what kind of revolver is portrayed in the parody scene?Inceptor57 (talk) 09:02, 16 July 2013 (EDT)
I think that is similar to the scene that attacked the sheriff in First Blood. However, it has not been reproduced less. - KINKI'boy (talk) 22:17, 16 July 2013 (JST)
The revolver? The last i recalled, the sheriffs were armed with rifles when hunting Rambo in "First Blood". So do you not know what kind of revolver the sheriff in this animated parody scene is using? Also what is the gun in the drawer? Looks like a SIG to me, is it? Inceptor57 (talk) 11:04, 16 July 2013 (EDT)
I can't place the pistol in the drawer, though it looks familiar, but those magazines to the right of it are definitely M1911 mags (I have a TM M1911 mag identical to those). Also, that rifle on the right side in the closet looks like a G3 (likely the SG/1, TM's standard G3 replica) to me, not an AR-18. Alex T Snow (talk) 19:12, 18 July 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, I looked at it again, its likely a G3, but not the SG1 with bipod. ( unless it was removed) Inceptor57 (talk) 20:28, 19 July 2013 (EDT)
If you look really closely, it appears to have the grooves in the handguard for the bipod, it just has the bipod removed. Alex T Snow (talk) 22:17, 19 July 2013 (EDT)

Real Desert Eagle

I am really suspending a lot of disbelief that a high school girl of that size can handle a Desert Eagle in 50 without any problems. Excalibur01 (talk) 16:39, 18 July 2013 (EDT)

Yachiyo's SIG

That's a Glock 17, and looks to be a continuity error here. There are no airsoft P228Rs anyway.

Alex T Snow (talk) 15:24, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

How experienced are you with airsoft? Just curious. Inceptor57 (talk) 23:53, 13 August 2013 (EDT)

That's cool, I got a TM Hi-capa 4.3 as a first gun. It's amazing how airsoft technology has advanced in these past decades, ain't it?

I played Airsoft when I was in college. My team was lead by a guy who served in the British paratrooper, so he taught us the basics on how to be a soldier and even got us all to dress up in British DPM. Pictures

I have the episodes downloaded in 1080p; is it okay if, along with adding pictures, I replace the ones we have now? Alex T Snow (talk) 22:29, 13 August 2013 (EDT)

I think most of the current pictures are all fine as they visually portray the weapon just fine in the format, but 1080p pictres of some firearm like the M9 [1], MAC-10 [2], the glock and Type 89 continuity error with Yachiyo [3][4], the Gindan series, M3A1 [5], the unknown sheriff's revolver [6], Sonora's closet [7], vague pictures, etc. will help with identification. Inceptor57 (talk) 23:53, 13 August 2013 (EDT)
I'll just upload them somewhere else for now, and link them to the talk page as needed. I just noticed there's a box for a "Colt 38" in the closet, up top. Here are a few we missed and some I think we could add: Deagle in intro, G36 in intro, AWM in intro, AK in intro, Honoka with dual MkIVs in her imagination, a fairly generic sniper rifle, and again, a nice shot of Yachiyo's SIG, a Glock 26 Advance firing live ammo!, the G36's scope, a different pink M4 with rails and an ACOG, super closeup of Sonora's Deagle, maybe a 74u?, and again, a couple pistols, the Deagle water gun, and the Glock water gun. Also, I fixed it on the page already, but Yachiyo's 89 is always an F, they just coloured the whole stock black instead of parts transparent in that one shot. You can see the notch on the bottom and the bar at the top-back. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow, including the ones you linked. Alex T Snow (talk) 00:39, 14 August 2013 (EDT)
Those are good selections, I forgot about the sniper rifle Yura had. The pictures:
  • Pictures in the intro
  • Yura's sniper rifle (M24 right?)
  • Yachiyo's sig
  • G36 scope
  • pink M4
  • close-up of Deagle
  • the 74u and Deagle FPS view
  • Competitor's pistol
would be a great addition and improvement to the page. I would exclude Honoka akimbo because it isn't detailed enough (I would say the same for 74u, but it's distinguishable) and the waterguns (felt that they didn't look "real" enough since we already have pictures of the black versions). Also I'm aware of the fix for the Type 89, but I suggest a HD picture of the picture in question so we could see the error in it more clearly since it took me a while to notice why they were different from the picture. I'll go ahead and use some of the pictures you linked. Inceptor57 (talk) 01:03, 14 August 2013 (EDT)
