:I'm no expert on these Star pistols so might be wrong, but I do not think that this is a BKS. There is now a picture of a BKS on the main page and there are several differences, most notably the slide serrations and the shape of the front slide scallop (the safety is also a very different shape but this isn;t visible on the main page image, google it to see what I mean). Also, I don't think it is right that the BKS is a "A lightweight alloy frame Star BK", as I think the "K" signifies alloy (same as on the Star Model 30) so it would be BS, but I do not think a full steel version of this particular model existed anyway. Anybody know for sure? For whatever reason searching for BKS also seems to bring up a lot of what look like BM/BKMs, did they change the design at some point to make the guns identical or something? --commando552 (talk) 18:14, 28 February 2016 (EST)

Is the Star Model S really rare or something? It hasn't been in any movie I've seen, there are no videos of anyone using one on YouTube, and I can't even find a really decent picture of one on Google or Yahoo search. Wasn't it the official sidearm of the Spanish Legion? User: 2wingo

Other Variants

As we get more pics of the various Star model pistols, we may find that these are appearing more in films, especially ones from Europe.

Star BKS Starlight - A lightweight alloy frame Star BK - 9x19mm
