Page

The Stalin Subway (Russian title "Метро-2", "Metro-2") - is a russian FPS published in 2005. The story of this game take place in 1952 and it`s about the great conspiracy of USSR government with L. Beria against old Stalin. The hero of this game, Gleb Suvorov, who is a ember of MBG, must destroy their planes to capture the governance.

Also here is a sequel, "The Stalin Subwai: Red Veil" (Russian title "Метро-2: Смерть вождя", "Metro-2: Smert vozhdya", published in 2006. The story of it take place in 1953, after Stalin`s death. Beria try to capture governance again. He arrested Gleb, but his wife, Lena Suvorova, eloped from soldiers. So she has to free his husband and destroy the evil planes of Beria again.

Both games has almost the same weapons and graphic, so weapon from both games will be together - with notes about what game is this, of course.

Pistols

Browning Hi-Power

Called "Browning Hi-Power 1944" Browning Hi-Power is a starting weapon in the game "The Stalin Subway: Red Veil" took place in 1953. Lena wields it to elope from the powers of Beria. Also it can be find in some flats (magazines for it also can be founded there). It incorrectly holds 7 cartridges contrary to the real HP which holds 13. This weapon is rather weak, and after the third mission hero loose it. No one enemy use it.

Browning Hi-Power - 9x19mm

Lena Suvorova holds Browning Hi-Power. Note on the unregualed rear sight - it means what this is not early produced HP, and it`s a more later model. Also it`s very intrestingly HOW russian could take belgian pistol in 1953. Maybe, it`s a trophy from Nazi Powers what really had several HP in their servise during the World War II?

Lena reloads HP. We can see what this gun is really HP, not another weapon like TT33. Note on the slide - it has no inscriptions or brands on it.

Luger P08

In some missions in "Stalin Subway" our hero is Natasha Mikhalyova - the helper of the conspirators. Luger P08, incorrectly called "Mauser P-08", is her starting weapon. Cartridges for it is rare, and weapon is rather weak. No one enemy use it.

Luger P08 - 9x19mm

Natasha holds his Luger during the mission in Kremlin. Not on the name "Mauser P-08" - it is incorrect. However, some P08s were produced on the "Mauser" during World War II.

Makarov PM

In both games, main heroes and some soviet officers wields PMs. Gleb also can wield in akimbo mode in the "Stalin Subway". This pistol isn`t so accurate as APS, but taking it isn`t a problem.

Stechkin APS

In the "Stalin Subway", some russian officers and Gleb Suvorov wields Stechkin APS - very modern pistol for the summer of 1952. This machine pistol fires in the semi-auto. Alternative fire is shooting 5 bullets in full-auto mode. In has 20-round magazine and this is the most accurate pistol in both games.

Submachine guns

PPSh-41

PPSh-41 is a common weapon of soviet soliers in both games with AK-47s. Our can use it also in semi-auto mode. It incorrectly holds 72 cartridges. It`s very powerful, but weak.

PPSh-41 - 7,62x25mm

STEN Mk II

Sten submachine guns use by soviet soldiers in the parashutist uniform in the "Stalin Subway". It has wooden stock. Our character can use it in the semi auto mode. It has uncorrectly 30-round magazine and it rather weak.

Assaut rifles

AK-47

AK-74 variant

The unknown AK-74 variant can be seen in the game "Stalin Subway" menu under the moving USSR magazines. It seen only partyally - mgazine and foregrip. The magazine of it show us what it was produced for 5,45mm cartridges. But they began producing only since 1972 - highly anachronistic for the summer of 1952. It is unusuable weapon - no one anemy of character use it.

AK-74 - 5,45x39mm

The AK-74 variant can be seen left. We can't see exacly what weapon is this, becaise we can't see all AK.

PTRS-41 rifle

Anti-tank PTRS-51 rifle - 14,7x114mm.

OP-SKS rifle

OP-SKS rifle called SKS-45 is a standart weapon of russian soidiers in both games. In-game version lacks fixed bayonet - it looks like civil variant of this rifle. But in the summer of 1952 OP-SKS weren`t produced, making it anachronistic.

Scoped OP-SKS rifle, the civil version of SKS - 7,62x39mm. In-game version looks like this, but without scope.

This is a double shot of SKS rifle - in the hands of Natasha and on the ground. We can see the lack of the fixed bayonet indicating that it is civil variant of SKS, not military.

Machine guns

DP-27 light machine gun

A DP-27 machine gun, incorrectly called "DPM" in the "Stalin Subway" and "Stationary machine gun DPM" in the "Stalin Subway: Red Veil", is the most powerful gunpowder weapon in the both games. Using 3-cartridges spending, 47 cartidges magazine and full-auto mode, it is very accurate and powerful. Its only weakness is 7,62x54mm cartidges, which are very rare. No one enemy use it.

RPG-2

RPG-2 with RG-2 grenade - 40mm

Tsar сannon

It`s seen during the mussion inside Kremlin in the "Stalin Subway". This is the real gun, produced by Andrei Chohov in 1586. It has the highest calibre among cannons - 120 cm. Contrary to the many hypotheses, the carriage and rounding shot near it is actually fake - the carriage were produced only in the 1835, and rounding shots are actually hollow. This gun had to be fire a charge of small stones, but this gun was never fired and now it`s only monument. This is unusuable weapon.

Tsar cannon as it standing now - 120 cm.

Tsar cannon in the game from the almost the same foreshortening as a picture higher. Note on the slighly crooked pose of it on the plinthand and lacking the safing chain around the gun. This shot was produced in no-clipping mode, because script don`t allow the player to be nearer to the monument.
