Rifles Seems the choice is rather small I bet I will go through the game with the first one cause I hate the Dragunov and the other seem out of date, and how in the hell is the Dragunov more accurate

I doubt it will be more accurate the only advantage I see is that ammo would be more abundant behind enemy lines.

to tell you the truth i was just guessing lol i think i shall take that part out now what seems to be out of date i'll fix it

but seriously 4 rifles for a sniper game why the hell are there more other weapons than sniper rifles in a sniper game, and its officially confirmed there are only 4 sniper rifles in the game according to they're website and the game has probably finished all production since its coming out soon so there is no hope for additional content its probably in testing by now. I would have hoped for at least some bolt action rifle or something from M14 family something US forces would actually use, AS50 as far as I know is mostly used by brits, I don't know about Dragunov it could probably used for black ops but still I bet there are better alternatives.

The SR-25 is a perfect rifle for this game and makes up for an M14 DMR in my oppinion even though im more of an M14 fan. BUT, a M24 or M40 would of been nice as a bolt action rifle is almost a necessity for any sniper game.

Rifle weapons share ammo. I have picked up ammo for my SR-25 from IMBEL MD 97s (5.56mm NATO) and an AKS-74 (5.45mm). Ramell

Hey

can't be its not out yet, I know my buddy owns a game store he said we(europe) will get them first and he has already preordered the games for both console and pc, maybe a demo is out haven't checked it out

moviemaster1993: there are more sniper rifles you can use in the game but none have been confirmed yet they are keeping it under their hats for now

you cannot use assault rifles if you are the ghost warrior you can use them if you are the spotter

You can pick up assault rifles as the "Ghost Warrior". Also, sign your posts God damn it. -Chris Hun7er 1:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

there are bolt actions i am sure most possibly a barrett and m24

Hey ramell you actually played the game.? -k987

Yes, there's a demo. Ramell

the demo is terrible its impossibly hard I doubt it would be possible even be possible to live trough such a operation even i real life and the story is impossibly stupid why would they send a lone sniper to rescue someone in a heavily fortified and guarded place with little possibilities to sneak I mean it would be plausible if he was covering special forces group from afar and would have to snipe sentry's but what the hell the level designers obviously had no adviser, I mean I'm a pretty decent gamer and even stealth games are easy to me but what the hell I couldn't get a couple paces for 20 times on easy, you can't kill anyone and you can't sneak by them

Punctuation, please. And I found it easy on easy. Maybe you should just get better. And sign your post, please. Ramell

Yes,they are making mistake in all this FPS games where one man infiltrates in a zone with thousends of enemies. Plus the sniper is not a killer , sniper is supporter to the squad. Sniper cannot attack , it just supports an attack ..:)

yes but its a game. there are no ring shaped worlds in real life or oil colonies on mars either like in other games all the aspects of realism are thrown out of the window to make games FUN, even on the multiplayer aspect you will have a team of supporting snipers against another team of supporting snipers that would not make sense. take in the fact that it is a game and stop being politically correct. user:moviemaster1993:moviemaster1993

yes but this game was supossed to be the most realistic sniper game, that's what they advertised and also this game owuld have been better if they concentrated less on the dynamics of the bullet and more on the game itself since the sniping was unrealistic anyways none of what calculations I use in real life would have helped me in this game they basically took everything that they have heard in movies and put it in the game.

M200

So, is this CheyTac M200 Intervention I just found in my rental copy a PS3 exclusive? Evil Tim 14:17, 10 May 2011 (CDT)

Also, I might work on this one next. I've already noticed the magic slide on the Mark 23 and the SR25's safety on. Evil Tim 14:52, 10 May 2011 (CDT)

The sniper's rifle

Um, guys, it's not any kind of SR25/Mark 12 hybrid, it's a Mark 12 through and through. The reason it has the "front end" of an SR25 and differs from the Mark 12 Mod 0 shown here on IMFDB is because this is, in fact, the Mark 12 Mod 1 variant. [1] Spartan198 02:09, 12 August 2011 (CDT)

on the new unfinished business add on where can you find the desert eagle???

Descriptions

Could someone who has the game, which I don't, please expand a little on some of the descriptions? It'd be nice if a little more in-game info on the AIAW, for example, is given instead of it saying just, "The Accuracy International Arctic Warfare." Spartan198 (talk) 19:18, 14 March 2013 (EDT)

I have installed the game all the time. Can I add a description to each weapon. Unfortunately, my English is not the best. Description will require correction. :)

Exactly what I describe?

--MTOOO (talk) 09:57, 15 March 2013 (EDT)

Some examples of where a weapon is found, when it's found, any quirks or unique gameplay elements attached to it, magazine capacity, and any inaccuracies related to it. Your English is fine, MTOOO, since we (or at least I) can understand what you're saying. ;-) I've frequented wikis with English far worse and been able to amend and make sense out of it, so I'll go over any new descriptions and fix any mistakes. Spartan198 (talk) 23:25, 16 March 2013 (EDT)

Well I'll add descriptions. I deal with the game Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. Can someone out there take a look and correct my mistakes. --MTOOO (talk) 02:34, 17 March 2013 (EDT)

Game overview paragraph

There were several things that are incorrect about the game. First, you play almost exclusively as Sgt. Tyler Wells, who is never once referred to in-game as the "Ghost Warrior", with his spotter O'Neil playable in a few instances. In the instances O'Neil is playable, it's either as Wells' spotter (as in you're simply putting binoculars on targets for Wells to take down) or the same sniper gameplay as Wells. In the only brief instance where you're in the boots of a member of the assault team, he's still AI-controlled and the segment lasts all of about 3 seconds before sniper fire forces him into cover and control switches back to Wells, so saying you "play" as this guy is like saying I play as Vincent Hanna when watching Heat. And lastly, the game takes place in a fictional country called Isla Trueno, not Colombia. Spartan198 (talk) 15:27, 7 December 2014 (EST)
