It's funny but I remember years ago reading up on this operation.  In one section the author, who was a legionnaire, discussed how he and his unit met up with a bunch of other troopers who had somehow managed to ditch their [[MAS-49/56]]s in favor of M-16s and the author's unit all wanted to know how they did it so they could do it as well. --[[User:Charon68|Charon68]] ([[User talk:Charon68|talk]]) 20:11, 6 April 2015 (EDT)

The two tank turrets are from a M4 Sherman and, by my best guess, a French AMX-13 tank. As for their purpose, my best guess would be a last-ditch pillbox, to be used to defend the ministry. What a WWII-vintage tank and a French light tank turret would do in assisting the defense of the ministry is anyone's guess. --[[PaperCake|PaperCake]] 00:44, 7 April 2015 (EST).
