McKenna's 1911

It's similiar, but both of the ones you mentioned are heavily engraved, especially De Niro's. The pistol from this film just has a phrase on either side of the slide. mmarlon brando

in this version it look like there assanations are the run in and shoot the place to pieces. is the original he tried to make it look like an an accident first

well they only show three hits . the one in the pool , which is totaly ninja , the one where the gas station blows, an accident and then the all out brawl in the street , and being that they killed his mentor and father, i would hit em hard also . and being that they are aware of the hitmans presence , the sneek atack isnt an option. simmons 8492

Ooopsie! Watch close the slo-mo on the case ejection in the movie - right near the frame grab used. Crimped closed case necks. BLANKS. No cinder blocks were actually shot in the making of this movie. :)

Couch Gun

For those who've seen the movie, at one point a character draws a pistol from the inside of a couch. Anyone catch what it was? It was lightning fast, but I'm thinking Glock 19. Hopefully someone can confirm. mmarlon brando

Magic 1911?

I just saw this movie again today, and I'm almost positive it turns from an Auto Ordinance 1911 when shot by Harry at his van to a Springfield armory 1911 when we see the close up at the end of the movie. --AlexoftheYear 06:00, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

• • After seeing the movie, the gun is a beautiful all chrome 1911A1, however, it does not have all the fancy scroll work engraving on it. The handgun is smooth finish with a Latin phrase on one side and the English translation "Victory Loves Preparation" on the other.

In the beginning when Sutherland had it, there was a close up showing Auto Ordnance on the frame, at the end of the film it shows that it's a US Property WWII M1911A1, someone would have to look up the serial number to see if it was Colt, Remington, Ithaca etc. It's not uncommon for them to have spares in case one gets damaged, but I'm surprised they didn't catch that.--Predator20 08:25, 24 May 2011 (CDT)

Any time you see a "hero" gun in a movie, there is never just one that was used on-set; armorers will always take along at least two (and sometimes more) back-up weapons to represent the same gun. This is in case one of the hero guns gets damaged or malfunctions; they can't stall the entire production just to fix a broken gun. In this particular movie, I'm guessing that the armorer didn't have enough original 1911A1 frames, so he assembled one of the 1911s on an Auto Ordnance frame, and the other on a U.S. Army-issue 1911 frame. -MT2008 23:15, 15 July 2012 (CDT)

Scope on FN F2000

Contrary to what recent revisions would imply, there is nothing to suggest that the Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T would ever function properly if mounted backwards. The FN F2000 uses a universal top rail, and it was clearly a glaring mistake on the part of the Armorer or prop department, and not mounted on backwards to "fit this particular FN."

SIG P226R, not P226

I think that the SIG is actually a P226R, not a non railed P226. I say that because in a few of the screenshots, it looks like there is a rail present. --Bauer2121 (talk) 13:07, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

Which shots do you think shows a rail? There are a couple of good side on one where not only is no no sign of the rail slots, but the bottom of the frame is also at an angle to the barrel which is not the case with railed versions. Also, to me it looks like this SIG has the old style form of slide manufacturing (stamped with a welded in breech block rather than milled form a single piece which gives it a different shape at the rear top corner) and an internal extractor, which indicates that this pistol is an older example predating the railed frames. --commando552 (talk) 13:45, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

The screenshot of when Steve is being threatened with the SIG from behind, the SIG's mostly shadowed, but it does look like the outline of a rail is there. I don't think so, in both of those shots it is perfectly side on so you would be able to see the slots in the rail like in the stock image of the P226R if it had a rail. Particularly in this image you can see that the bottom of the frame is sloping upwards compared to the ridge on the slide (and therefore barrel). On a P226R the bottom of the rail is horizontal rather than sloping upwards, it would after all be pretty stupid if a laser that you mounted was not in line with the barrel. --commando552 (talk) 16:54, 24 June 2016 (EDT)
