::: I had another look at the barrel length, noting that the part of the barrel outside the receiver is roughly the length of the receiver. Judging by that, I'd say it's the 89, with a 36'' barrel, not the 44''-barrelled 99.

Who the hell thought a .50 BMG pistol was a good idea?

If this has not appeared in any movie/television episode/Anime/Video game and is also VERIFIABLE then this weapon's page will be deleted. Sorry, IMFDB Rules. Just giving a heads up. MoviePropMaster2008 05:22, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Of course, the classic Maadi Griffin is the "pistol."

I'm kinda surprised given the tendency for excess and obscurity that one of those has never turned up in a videogame. I guess it was a little late to get in on the action movie arms race of the 80s / 90s that was finally won by the .50AE Deagle more or less forever.

Joke video with a real one. Apparently Birdman's Maadi Griffin "pistol" ended up registered as an SBR. Evil Tim 07:33, 4 December 2011 (CST)

As for the page; the MG-6, from what I can gather, is a magazine-fed semiauto, so I don't think it's the right model for that Mythbusters episode. Evil Tim 07:39, 4 December 2011 (CST)
