:Don't think so, all of the Lee rifles have a semi pistol grip on the stock, whereas this one looks to be straight. Unknown Revolver?

An officer fires an unknown Revolver. A much larger version of this image can be viewed herein, thanks for that. Confirm or dismiss, but I believe it's a Tranter revolver c. 1885 and thus authentic to the era of the story. Compare it with whatever images of a Tranter you can find. You'll find specs in wikipedia.
