True, but like all of us that comes with time and experience. I just wanted him not to get too wound up regarding a crititque from an anonymous poster.--[[User:Jcordell|Jcordell]] 17:58, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

How does an escalating budget have anything to do with the guns jamming? or looking fake? Is it established that they replaced them with crap prop guns or something? 75.36.148.131

I just worded that kinda shitty. I was going to sperate that into the special section. The gun jamming was meant as a seperate paragraph. I'm fixing that now. thanks for the heads up though. --Mauser 04:29, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Nice work

It looks good. I consider this little movie to be one of the best WW2 films ever made. And you can't tell me there weren't aspects of this film that were used in Saving Private Ryan. This movie has been used by many different filmakers (for inspiration) since. Don Siegel was an outstanding director and knew how to get the most out of a limited budget. He started as a second unit director in the 40's and had a reputation for being pretty inventive. And of course in Steve McQueen he had a actor who excelled at the "naturalistic" school of acting. It's a tough movie to screencap. It's B&W and so much of takes place at night. Don't get too wrapped around the axle over Mr. 75.36.148.131 post. Anyone who can't be bothered to register and have an actual identity shouldn't be taken too seriously. Once again good job and you beat me to it. I hate you. --Jcordell 14:27, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
