| − | The way I look at it, the M268 isn't an M134 nor an XM214. Neither one of those weapons is chambered for a 6.8MM round and has only three barrels. The M134 and XM214 both have six barrels. It can't even be argued that three of the barrels were removed similar to the M197 being a three barreled version of the M61 Vulcan, because the barrel cluster on the M268 is too tight to fit another three barrels. The weapon is a purely fictional Gatling gun, inspired by the hand held Minigun seen in films like Predator and apparently the M56 Smart Gun from Aliens.
